The Holidays are over! No matter which ones you do or don’t celebrate, one common theme is to show your love and appreciation through gifts. Here at the Fighting118th it’s no different. Every year we celebrate the Holiday season with the annual Fighting118th Toy Exchange and this past season was another successful event. First we would like to give a big thank you to everyone who supported and participated in the event. We enjoy having a smaller and closer community than the average site and it’s always fun to be able to put together a event like the Toy Exchange. Second we want to give a thank you to Admin Major Blood for his efforts in hosting and organizing the event. The Toy Exchange had a decent turnout and almost everybody received their gift by the deadline. Like last year many of the gifts were G.I.Joe ... Read More »

Marvel Universe Professor X
The much desired Marvel Universe Professor X has hit retail! Professor X uses the same mold as the 2009 SDCC exclusive James McCullen figure that was available only at the convention in a 2 Pack with another Destro/McCullen figure. Ever since the McCullen figure has been announced, collectors have wanted the figure not only because it’s a great looking figure but for all of the custom possibilities. With the rarity and short supply of the figure not to mention the cost, the McCullen figure hasn’t been customized as much as collectors wanted too. Several G.I.Joe lines have come and gone since the release of the exclusive suited figure and collectors have continued to ask Hasbro for a mass retail release of the mold with no response. Finally it was announced some time ago that a Professor X figure was coming to retail using the same ... Read More »
January Banner Contest
It’s that time of the Month again! Wait.. what? Oh.. right.. The theme for the January Banner Contest is Bring in the new year with a bang Here is a quote from Banner Contest runner Major Blood: “To start off 2013 the theme is to be used with an RPG, C4 or grenade explosions. There does not have to be an explosion per say as long as there is action including one or more of the weapons described. Loading up a weapon cache is acceptable too but you better put some heavy explosives in there to get votes.” The Monthly Banner Contest has been one of the most successful and favorite features here on the Fighting 1:18th. The contest started on our original site before the infamous crash of 2011. For those that are new to the contest, it’s very simple. A forum ... Read More »

Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 Review
Call of Duty is one of the most successful video game franchises in the world and every year around Veteran’s Day a new edition is released. This year was the sequel to Treyarch’s Black Ops simply titled Black Ops 2. Will Call of Duty: Black Ops 2 deliver? I’ve personally preferred Infinity Ward’s CoD games more than Treyarch however I really enjoyed Black Ops and had high hopes for the sequel. The first thing that stands out in Black Ops 2 is the futuristic setting which many fans felt was a mistake. In reality the game is about 70% in the year 2025 and 30% in the 1980’s. The single player campaign has you shifting through time playing various characters including favorites from the first game like Sgt. Woods and Alex Mason. In the 2025 missions you play as Alex ... Invitation to HeroQuest
Earlier this month forum member Obi Shinobi shared with us his Work In Progress photos of his custom Diorama based on the Miniature Fantasy Board Game called HeroQuest only with one catch. He’s planning on making the game 1:18th Scale! I wasn’t privy to HeroQuest or any Miniature Game for that matter however after reading through the responses on the forum and doing some research on my own this is turning into one impressive project. We have some big plans in place for Obi Shinobi’s Diorama in the future however in the meantime you can view some of his WIP photos on page 2 and check out his WIP thread Here Obi Shinobi has sent out a Invitation to the Fighting118th to help create Fantasy Characters for his HeroQuest project. The idea to to help populate the game board and potentially set up a live game ... Read More »

It’s election night in America…or it was when we recorded this episode in a time capsule. Boy, a lot has sure happened since we’ve last hear from the Terrific Treo and Chuck. Half the football season is over, we have a new baseball champion, basketball has started, hockey has…well, no one really seems to notice hockey missing, and we’ve had a Superstorm roll through the east coast. ... Medal of Honor: Warfighter Review
The Medal of Honor series rebooted in 2010 and I really enjoyed the game giving it a high review score. The direct sequel was released this October titled Medal of Honor: Warfighter. Will it live up to it’s predecessor? Warfighter’s campaign mode picks up right after the original game as you continue to fight the terrorist’s to prevent them from using the PETN weapon. You will travel to Bosnia, Somalia, Pakistan and the Philippines. The story features two soldiers as you jump back and forth between their tales. Stump who is a Recon Marine turned Navy SEAL and Preacher who you will remember from the first game. The game also features Dusty as he operates from a command center for most of the game. I really wanted to enjoy this game and even pre-ordered it however the campaign was a ... Read More »
