It’s that time of the Month again! Wait.. what? Oh.. right.. The theme for the September Banner Contest is Covert Operations Here is a quote from Banner Contest runner Major Blood: Ok, theme will be Covert operations with setting up explosives/blowing stuff up. This will allow individuals without the photoshop technique to at least give a try at it. The Monthly Banner Contest has been one of the most successful and favorite features here on the Fighting 1:18th. The contest started on our original site before the infamous crash of 2011. For those that are new to the contest, it’s very simple. A forum member can submit a dio picture entry into the contest. Towards the end of the month we place all the photos together and let the forum members vote for their favorite via poll. The winner gets the prestige and honor ... Read More »

SDCC 2012 Shockwave HISS
Ah, Hasbro. Another year has gone by and you come up with another decent crossover exclusive. Although the tank was not the highlight of the set there was plenty to make this worth it if you got your hands on one. The HISS is a painted up Retaliation tank that has static treads. Those and a glass canopy are two things I’m not a fan of. The design of the new HISS tanks are ok but of course Cobra overlook certain engineering features. Open turret? Is this 1984 still? Let’s protect that gunner already! The attack mode is fairly worthless too. It points at the ground. Great of you want to dig a hole I guess. The did manage to use a barrel similar to the original Shockwave though. It is a little smaller but has the same design minus ... Read More »
Duke Nukem Forever Review
Back in 1997 Duke Nukem was on top of the Gaming World. Duke Nukem 3D was one of the most popular games of all time and it’s sequel was in development. What turned out to be one of the most bizarre developments of all time across every media platform, Duke Nukem Forever didn’t get released until June 2011. That’s right folks, this game was 15 years in the making. For 15 years fans of the series went through a roller coaster of ups and downs. This game suffered through lawsuits, company changes, system generation changes and 4 Presidential terms before it was finally released. Duke Nukem Forever became a joke amongst the gaming community and the game went through one more final delay in the months before it was officially released. The question that everyone had on their mind after ... Read More »

Resistance: Fall of Man Review
November 2006, the Playstation 3 was released and a “system seller” came out along with it. The first must have game for the new system, Resistance: Fall of Man. Resistance is a first person shooter that takes place in 1951. Glancing at the game, you might expect this to be a World War 2 game but it’s so much more. The setting and story is what attracted me to the game so many years ago. In the 1930’s a alien race known as the Chimera land and take over Russia. By 1949 the Chimera have conquered Europe and are ready to completely take over the United Kingdom thus causing WWII to never happen. Even though WWII never took place, the setting is still relevant to world history. We were still focused on War and weapons during the 1940’s. Only now ... Read More »
Tunnel Rat by Cloud Strife
Cloud Strife did it again! He not only made another fantastic figure but he made another Tunnel Rat. Never satisfied with his first two attempts at creating the popular G.I.Joe figure that was first released all the way back in 1987, the third time is the charm. Cloud Strife is a member of the Intel Division and the lead Moderator for the Custom Section at Fighting118th.com. He earned this title with his outstanding work as a customizer. Here is a quote from Cloud: This is the 3rd Tunnel Rat I’ve worked on. The previous 2 were okay, but I agreed with the critiques I received regarding the last one I made. It took me awhile to figure out which pieces I was going to use, as I had decided to depart from his original design. I wanted to keep certain elements a ... Read More »
