$24.50 per figure before shipping. Ouch.

I don't think 6" figures are worth that, much less 4".

I know...but I guess honestly, that price point was not unexpected.

I thought the most interesting point was this:
2. There is NO reason to rush the site or be in a hurry as this is a build to order system. We will build as many as you order, so we cannot run out. YOU CAN ORDER AS MANY AS YOU WANT, there is no limit.

Does this mean you can order as many full subscriptions as you want, or as many of an individual character?

As many as we want, why the hell would I want to pay 30 bucks for one lousy kitbash, muchless 4 copies?

/\ /\ /\ Not a true fan. :D

I guess I'll admit it readily.

Sure, maybe if we were getting a PoC-level Footloose that looked like he just stepped off the pages of an Osprey book on Vietnam I'd consider it a price worth paying.

30 bucks for Big Boa? Bitch, please!

Big Boa at least will probably sell on the secondary market if you want to get rid of him. Most of the rest of these? Not so much.

10. We are waiting on the final schedule from China so we don’t know exactly when the first figures will ship. We hope it will be by Christmas. We will announce this as soon as we get the final schedule.

First figures shipping by fucking Christmas?!

FOUR MONTHS away to ship the first figures? Didn't they initially premiere these guys like early 2011, or late 2010? Talk about taking your sweet time.

Yea, the FSS doesn't work for someone like myself. You can get the actual ARAH figures way cheaper. If I wanted the older figures I guess I would just go buy them. I've moved on to greener pastures. I would imagine there will be people out there that will buy the figures for too much.

It actually comes to $28/figure once you add in the price to join up. That's for 12 figures. $25.86/figure including the 13 since you are basically paying for it. Add shipping and now they are above $30/figure easily. I'll low ball it at $11/month so $66 extra on top. Looking at a $402 investment for one subscription. I'll go buy two choppers thank you.

Those last 3 will be the hardest to get rid of, if you ask me. TNT is the most awful one of the entire mix. People will want to troop-build that terrible B.A.T. repaint, and Topside/Dice/tan-Grunt/Iron Klaw will probably sell, but those lackluster last few guys are lame.

To be honest, I actually prefer Barrel Roll and Sure Fire over lame figures like that Jinx (who the Club waited so fucking long on, that Hasbro made an official one even better, even if it was an exclusive SDCC figure), Iron Klaw, and Quarrel, because they're at least new characters that aren't totally awful.

Well the SDCC BAT gets at most $70 so that could be a gauge for the figure. Might do better but I don't see people blowing too much on a troop builder. Then again, I guess I should take the audience into consideration.

True. With as much hype as that ghastly "NANO! BAT!!!!" got when Gyre first revealed it, you'd think fanboys would jerk off over the opportunity to own it finally, and in bulk. But hell, they wanked over Skystrikers, too. And we all know how those clearanced...

Well people want to pay too much for what they think nobody else will have. It's a niche collector. By niche I mean willing to pay too much for crap. City Strike Scarlett was a cool figure but not worth the scratch. Probably will be in the second subscription. Fanboys always want but when it comes time to pony up it's a whole other story.

As for the club, why would they really care if stuff gets damaged? They have a specific audience so they will take what is given to them. Savage could smear taint on every card and announce it and people would still pay just to have an overpriced kit bash.

Well, you could have a 1980 Yugo painted Ford blue metallic with a souped-up Honda 4cyl. No ones gonna have another one like that, but then no one would give a shit about your "unique", "special" or otherwise "one-of-a-kind" car.

Anyhoo, if these are your thing by all means support the endevor.

Not my thang. I rather a cool figure from the POC line at retail than any of that stupid shit. I'm glad I hoarded what I could with POC. Some 30th was ok but I don't need a technician in a purple outfit to fix stuff. Life Line was pretty cool though. Nothing a little paint can't cure.

I love number 6..."don't rush out online to tell everyone!"...they do realize that some morons are getting these for the sole purpose of hopefully being able to be "FIRST" to have them and post pics right?

Fuckers. I honestly may go that route, and get the full set carded from the Club, versus having to pawn off the shitty half-lot that I won't want from my "opener" set.

I just preordered Dice, Big Boa, Topside and Cover Girl, just to be safe. I don't think I've got my head wrapped around the Club's deal yet (also, I don't fucking trust them).

I'll cancel them if the inner workings of the Club's sub aren't total shit, but I'm trying not to buy two subs just to get openers of the ones I want.

So have we confirmed that you can buy singles, or that has to happen after all the subs are bought as full sets? If that's the case, the only "draw" of buying 2 sets to get openers is the mystery 13th figure... Who if I don't get two subs, will be an amazing character, and if I do, will be something shitty like Arctic Duke.

All the banter and speculation over the last 2 years has me confused as shit as to how this will even work, even with the Club's lengthy press release.

They said:
11. Some of the figures (single figures) MAY be available in the Club Store after the subscriber’s figures ship. These will be at a price of $32 per figure. There is no guarantee of availability of any of the figures in the club store. If you want to ensure getting these limited edition figures, you need to subscribe to the service.

They said:

Yeah, that's what I gathered from that. But how the hell else would they have random/varying numbers of singles of specific figures, if everyone has to get the fucking subscription? There's a missing chain in that logic.

Does where I'm coming from make sense? (Despite what they said.)

Holy smoke... with shipping (and the $3 per payment "processing fee"), these are going to be $30 each. And I thought MOTUC was outrageous at that price for a 6" figure.

I'll be ordering the four or five I really want from BBTS and happily pay too much for those before I sign up for a nearly $400 sub. That's ridonkulous.
