OK - We drove 7 plus hours to get to Kokomo on Friday night...President Obama was coming into town on the same weekend as Fry Fest (Iowa Hawkeye Football deal) and Iowa / Iowa State game...Traffic was a nightmare for Iowa. Add in a Ryder Truck going into the ditch and it took us an hour to even get past Iowa City. 
Once we got off of I-65 in Indiana - then we hit some serious roadwork and detours that delayed us even more. We arrived safe and sound and hit the sack for the exciting first CoilCon for the Slaymaker Family.

SO.... we just got home from our GI Joe convention in Kokomo Indiana and I must say ALL the people that were there were so very nice! Got to witness to a few people today as well and that's always good! This convention was like a big family reunion where people sat around and talked and hung out. They even grilled some delicious chicken breasts and hot dogs for everyone! This was outside and what ...a most beautiful day it was weather wise! My most all time favorite part of this whole trip was seeing the smile and joy this trip brought to my boys and Matt! I love how friendly everyone was there and to our boys as well. Thanks to Kokomo toys and the coil con and to all who helped put this event together it was an awesome event and I appreciate the genuine heartfelt welcome and generosity of all! My boys have been abundantly blessed, all 3 of them!

We had a great time...it was an awesome setting, everyone hanging out and having a great time. Several guys from Iowa were there...Tolan, Roshan and Outbackk are screen names you may recognize. Many vendors,AVAC's Lab and Unclassified too both with a bunch of cool stuff to look at. G.I.Joe Initiate was there with their World Premier episode...the best Joe film of 2012, the best Joe film shown at CoilCon too. Though the director almost decided to pull it to add 3D shots. 
Gonna get some sleep now - will add loads of pictures tomorrow. The exclusive was a cool 2 pack of a Coil figure and a Joe and each had their own glider. We did not get one as these are really collectibles and the Slaymaker Boys play with their toys.

They had a table for the community - you bring an item you get in a drawing to win an item off the table... my boys each had a carded figure they put in so they could win something;

they were right at that table every time waiting and hoping to win!!! Probably annoyed some - but kids excited about joes is a good thing. My oldest brought a carded IG destro and ended up winning a 30th IG and my youngest put in one of my Jungle Vipers from my fodder pile and got a PoC Beachhead...

Inside Kokomo toys...ever since the boys saw a video inside the store on youtube that showed an arcade G.I. Joe video game - all I heard about was them needing to play it...so they did - many times...(I believe that is BeachHead from G.I. Joe Initiate in the background)

It is a hard refresh of the page (forces the page to load new cookies instead of pulling up the same ones it has stored). What you're talking about with the pictures, I've had happen with pictures I've edited on Photobucket (mostly cropping).

Oops - right on both, Tolan was at the Iowa get together last year...thanks for the clarification.
I fixed the classified stuff. And they were ok with me taking that pic
