If there is a lick of truth to them planning on just releasing these in different waves that just change the color, I wish they would have made it a complete troop builder wave. I would love different colored Vipers instead of the stupid Cobra Commander.
The blue Cobra Commander is pretty pointless, but the black one makes a great base for Crimson Shadow Guard. Just need to paint a Crimson Guard helmet black and you are done.
True. But then you'd have to have some CG helmets.
I sent Jesse a 25th CG head to cast in black for just that purpose...
I would have rather had an original modded to fit 25th.I sent Jesse a 25th CG head to cast in black for just that purpose...
I agree with you. Dollar store repaints should just be army builders. It's a way to release so many variations that would be too difficult to fit into the main line. The Stinger Driver and Cobra Officer from the vault are straight repaints and should be no brainers. Cobra Trooper in red, Crimson Guard in black and in blue, or even desert colored Troopers, Officers, Crimson Guards, Vipers, etc. I would eat all this stuff up. And with no new tooling used it would not be time consuming or expensive to produce.
Buy the Snake Eyes and trade it for one.
The full peg of VvV figures they set out last month is gone along with the $3.50 price tag. A $6.00 tag replaced it but the peg is empty. I think my store finally got the new figures and someone already cleaned them out. Who would be buying DG Joes in Ripon WI?
I stopped by the DG by my gym today, and they also had a new "G.I. Joe $6" tag with an empty peg. I don't think that necessarily means they got a new shipment and someone already picked it up. Rather, they could just be anticipating future shipments. The figures I bought there before were scattered along the bottom shelf. DG dedicating a peg to them is probably a good sign, meaning that more restocks are yet to come.

Indeed that would be a tough sell.I haven't come across anyone that would like that trade.
I'm in NC on vacation with my girl's family and we passed like 5 DGs in a row yesterday along the highway to the Outer Banks. Talk about cringing wanting to pull over, but I didn't want to do that with her family in the car.
Noticed a peg for the Joes today. Dunno if there was figures and I missed them or just the peg.
You can make a little travel game out of it. First person who finds you a full set of figures wins a free CC.
Awesome frigging news - the store where the manager is ordering me the cases finally has a peg up. And the Joes are coming.
Bad news. She got in two shipments, held one in the back for me, put another one out as product and some asshat bought the six asked if they had more and someone said yeah but they are on hold for someone...and the guy said yeah those were on hold for me. So they went and got them.
Sniped by some local bastard...prolly some DB from the Stank.
