The thing I dislike is that most of the time, the stickers are designed poorly and don't go over body lines well. The worst are when they come from the factory that way. If I recall, the stickers I put on my first Takara MP Skywarp looked like total ass due to all the body lines on the jet that the stickers went over.

Not that I have anything against reprolabels, I love their stuff. But if it's coming from the factory and costing in excess of $100-200, then it needs to have tampo'd art, not stickers.

Dude from eBay just now mailed out my Thundercracker, or at least bothered to set up the package for the PO to pick it up... Good thing I'm going on a week-long trip on Saturday.

You know, if eBay is going to allow Buy-It-Now (which I prefer nowadays, I don't have the patience or time to deal with sniping and actual bidding on auctions) they should require BIN sellers (or sellers who require immediate payment) to ship shit ASAP, not wait 4 damn days.

Yeah, they should have some kind of Ship-It-Now policy. 24 hours, bi-atch.

I've never sold anything that wasn't shipped on the first business day following payment. Lazy people suck... but the ones I hate most are the "I only ship on every-other-thursday" buried in the bottom of their listing...

Well I was hoping he'd either ship it on Tuesday (the first biz day after purchase), or wait till later to ship the damn thing. Shipping it now means it may be sitting on my door step for a week, depending on whether he used USPS or FedEx or what... It was free shipping.

I'm going to put a hold on our mail for the USPS, but you can't do that with Fedex/UPS to my knowledge...

And I just got my ship notification for my TRU one too. Sigh. Same deal, except they're using UPS definitely... Can you call or otherwise arrange to have them hold it at their distribution center for pickup?

In the past, they have told me that they have to make one attempt at the address on the label, and if no luck, you can have them hold it after that. But if you're set up for them to leave stuff on your doorstep, then you're probably out of luck. I'd watch the tracking number and have a friend swing by and get it off the porch on the right day.

UPS is a mixed bag. I have EVERYTHING sent to my office. There is always someone to sign, and nothing gets left on the doorstep.

About ten years ago, I bought a new computer (shipped to my house), and when I looked at the tracking number from work, it was delivered and signed for by a name I'd never heard of. I wigged out. After talking to their reps who eventually contacted the driver, he simply left it at the first house nearby that had someone home to sign. So as it turned out, my new computer was in the hands of the visiting mother-in-law of the Indian family that lived four doors down, whom I'd never met. They could have easily said, "I have no idea what you're talking about" and gotten a free top-end computer. Luckily they did not. But it taught me to be wary of UPS.

Fortunately, I've moved, gotten an office, and I have a really nice UPS driver that looks out for our stuff. But you just never know.

Well, we live in a gated condo/apartment building, which is USUALLY pretty good about safety when leaving an item at the door. But sometimes our delivery drivers are lazy and don't leave it at the door, and instead leave it downstairs at the fucking mail box area where everyone walks past.

And we don't really know anyone near where we live (all our friends live in the city) who we'd trust enough to swing by, and they'd need a key to get in the main gate.

It should be fine, who knows when UPS will actually deliver it. If it's ground, it could take 10 damn days for all I know.

"As requested by the sender, UPS has transferred this shipment to the local post office for delivery to the final destination."

The hell?! It was AT MY LOCAL POST OFFICE AT 10AM! I went by to drop off shit to ship out of town before our flight. DAMMIT!

So the new Aerialbots look amazing.

Masterpiece Soundwave, Red Alert and Sideswipe all look amazing.

What is the latest on the Takara Encore series? Any new intel?

By the way, the new Hasbro "Fall of Cybertron" edition of Shockwave looks great standing next to the Classics Seekers. He is a perfect scaled fit with them.

They put out an encore Sixshot, but it was some kind of Japanese exclusive that commands MP prices. No thanks. Not heard any more lately of what else is coming.

He does look pretty good, but I think Energon Shockwave with a few modifications makes the best CHUG shocky.

Can't wait for Unanus to start showing up! (um, I think I stole Eddie's line...)

That Herc stop motion is freaking amazing!...

Anyone else seen the mini Reflector that PE is doing?...it'll be small enough to fit into MP hands...non-transforming though...

It looks great, but I got the impression from the press release that it was a Robotkingdom exclusive if you buy the new PE reflector. One, I already have a PE reflector and don't need another in new colors, and two, I likely wouldn't buy it from robot kingdom anyway. So, maybe if someone around here gets one, the resident casters can make us some copies.

It's funny. They show the thing with an MP seeker. It looks awesome, but my first reaction is, "Why the f#$% does a giant robot with robotic eyes and a computer brain need an external camera?!" But then I decided to let the G1 goodness wash over me, and I stopped asking stupid questions... :)

I ended up having BOTH Thundercrackers arrive on the Saturday that we left, but fortunately, our condo superintendent was able to snatch both boxes and store them in his office until we got back. Thank goodness, because they would've just sat down at the mailboxes in the common area for 10 days. Fucking Post Office, it turns out our mail hold didn't go through for 3 days. Idiots. It's ALL DONE BY COMPUTERS!

Anyways, on the bright side, the TRU one I got for $55 had a fucked-up face. So at least buying 2 wasn't a total loss. The left cheek on his face looks like it didn't fill in, so it's all dented-in. The other one I got from eBay is fine. Guess I'll just Craigslist the retarded one, and at worst, I can return it to TRU in a few weeks for store credit... (Don't they let you do that if you don't have a receipt?)

RK said the mini Reflector will be available separately soon...though I'm not sure if it'll be from just them...if I can snag one, I'll send it over to Jesse...though buyers of it would obviously have to paint it...

and Matt, if I were you I'd try the store credit option at TRU first...you'll p!ss someone off royal with that dented face on eBay...

If it's available without having to buy a whole new set, I'll be all over that.

And Rex, can't you return the uggo TC to TRU using the receipt that came with it in the package? Or return it using the return label (I think it's on the packing/slip receipt, no)? Or maybe go to tru.com and print out a return label?

Well the one I got from TRU.com is about $20 below retail if purchased in an actual store, pre-CA-tax... I'd rather Craigslist the fucker for less than I paid for the one I got off eBay. I'm tryin' to be a scalper, here! :D

I swear, now hasbro is just copying the third party guys.... There would be some amusing irony in there if hasbro wasn't doing such a poor job of it.

The reason Hasbro consistently gets one upped by the 3rd party guys is because they keep doing stuff on the cheap, and it shows...no one wants their Big Lots level toys when theres way better looking and feeling toys out there...not to mention closer to G1 than even Hasbro is doing...

Man I wish someone would do the same for Joe...

yeah,i did see the seacons on offer at bbts...however i've got my eye on one from a china ebay seller whos ships for free and will state a low dollar value and mark as a gift...so it saves on the extortionate customs fee's that my country levies on anything over 15 british pounds.

For the life of me, I cannot understand why the demand is not higher from today's kids for Takara style Transformers. Hasbro could probably use the Takara molds to sell here, but I don't think the demand is there.

I was in the toy aisle at Wal-Mart the other day, and really didn't understand some of the stuff kids are into these days.

The Bakugan and bouncy stuff was just plain strange, and the Mattel 3.5" Batman figures were terrible looking.

Yeah, I hear countries outside of the US ALWAYS get f*@#ed by customs when using BBTScalpers

I had no idea. I've never bought anything from overseas that required me to pay any kind of customs fees. I don't even know the US rules to be honest.

That sucks that your own gov't is scalping you.

I think the price tag keeps kids away. Kids can get parents to shell out for a $40 video game (because dad can play it too!), but it's a tougher sell for a $100 robot that could break if you transform it twice.

But I too do not understand all the japanese trading card game/top-spinning nonsense. It doesn't even look fun, even if you understand wtf is happening.

I think WM and other retailers LOVE that crap because the margins have to be much better than other toys. Tops and trading cards that sell for $5 don't cost .25 to make, and WM buys them for .60 and makes big money on the margin. And if they have to clearance them, it's no big loss (literally). On the other hand, $$ TF's that might or might not sell and could cause a big loss if they have to clearance them are probably a retailer's nightmare.

So I understand the economics, but if I was a kid, I think I'd be revolted at the crap they try to push on me. Yeah, I bought garbage-pail-kids in elementary school too, but that was for kicks. I didn't get them instead of anything important (like SW, MOTU, Joe, etc) or treat them like a "real" toy...
