Not sure how to deal with this vest. Was thinking of bashing something together, but I think it would look bad. Is there a similar vest I overlooked?

Aren't there Beach Head...or that....dang...whatsitsname, the GI Joe figure that had a helmet and a blue shirt...came with a load of weapons, didn't they have arms with that lined texture?

Wait, the old PoC Cobra Commander, the one wearing the trench coat, he had arms like that!

Yeah, but he's got mechanical greebles up on the shoulders.

Yeah, a bunch of male figures come with those arms. The male arms look weird matched with a female torso, though, I've found.

Yeah, they look way too big. (At least, in my opinion)

The shoulder socket on the female torso is too small for the male shoulder, as well.

Went back to working on my Music set. Found a wreath at a yard sale with drum pieces on it, I chopped them to various sizes and painted them up. Symbols are just oversized buttons. May change them out when I find something better.

I have to do this on a few arms (or on one set and then cast them). Any tips?

First, and most obvious, make sure they are clean before sculpting onto them...I rub them down with rubbing alcohol to remove oils and such...and if you want to maintain the thickness of the donor arms, youll have to shave/sand them down a little since you are adding a layer of sculpting material to them...if you don't, they'll be kinda bulky...and I found it easier to try and get the sculpting material as thin as I could with my fingers or tool, and get the sculpt I was going for "close", and then wait until it hardened and finish sculpting with a Dremel bit...I was able to get sharper details this way...not sure if youve tried sculpting at all yet, but keep some water handy to dampen your finger tips and tools, or the sculpting agent will prefer to stick to you...

I don't think that would look bad, but you could also try the ultimate SE style vest...

Exactly...the male arms most often times look much too big for the tiny female bucks...too big/muscular forearms, biceps and shoulders...

I was hesitant to use that harness because of all the pouches. But it is the right size and shape. And it would also make sense that a mechanic like Sparks would have pouches on his vest to hold his tools. ...And it's a lot easier (lazier) than crafting my own.

Now I just need to wait for my paint to arrive.

Does anyone have an extra vest?

Got a Kayak and they just finished some new walking trails around the marshes. Probably some Agenda21 Grant. So, I'll be moving away from the desert to the jungles maybe. Going to hopefully start scouting some locations. Got a medium dry bag for some dio pieces to go on location.

This is my Crusader & Team Whiskey joint Mission I'm putting together.

Just need a Boat Crew and do some mods to the boat and I'm ready to Shoot some South American Crusader battles. I have that PTE kayak also.

Thinking of Chopper harris in woodland for the crew using the bbi Hernandez Helmets. They have that life jacket set up on the vests so I'll have to track some down. Can use them for the MH-60 anyways.

Note the Crusader patches. Those will start popping up on other stuff now.

The Fighting 118 logo would make a great patch, especially for the exclusive fig, but scaling it down it's tough cut and it loses detail. Still looks good at normal distance and shoots

So I got the first attempt at paint off of the legs and lower torso on the current project off, and the new stuff on. It's lighter than the original color, but it matches the factory paint well enough.

Might have a figure to post tomorrow, but I'll probably give the paint a day or two to cure.

Well, I haven't fooled with the parts, but barring some catastrophe it should be good. Model Masters tends not to act like a bitch.

Now I'm wondering if I want to paint his fedora the same color or keep it in Indy colors to play up the broke-ass aspects of the character.

Gah, I want to get him together and posted. Still haven't harvested a belt for him, either.

Nice! Now I just want to slowly scroll that pic up all day!

Hah!...it's nice at first, then gets creepy :D

Nice sculpting, as usual, BTW...is that lego sail, hockey tape or medical tape you used for the belts?...it looks so sharp edged, so I'm going with Lego sail...

Another WIP, because I like starting new projects before finishing old ones. Not pictured are Night Force Lady Jaye hands which I'm casting and a Retaliation Lady Jaye back pack which I won't have until the end of September from HTS.

Here's an older project that I dug up and plan to get back to work on next week... no idea where it's going yet. A mix of Warhammer parts, old SDS cast head and upper torso, and Thor Frost Giant arms. Might try to make it work as a Nemesis Enforcer or some other Cobra-La character.

That's creepy and cool at the same time. I like it. Certainly could work as some evolution of Nemesis Enforcer, if you like that sort of thing.

(I was working on an updated Nemesis Enforcer using the frost giant body, and was trying to fit the articulated Man-bat wings to it. Now that I have some apoxie sculpt, I might give it a go again.)

It's really quite annoying when you don't have the parts on hand to finish a custom. Both these customs are missing their head and webgear, so they cannot be finished.

THIS... needs to grace the gaming board at the Con.

I concur, It is like a male badder-ass version of Medusa. I like it a lot SWG.

You could sell the lower snake part by itself for Golobulus. Would be an awesome modern version of his tail.
