Actually, that was my stipulation on whether I'd get a FSS 2.0 this time. If they extended it, then the stars were aligning (or something superstitious and silly) and I should get one. If not, then I'd adhere to the original deadline and do without.

Once again, I'm ordering the four figures I want at inflated prices from my favorite e-tailer. It'll cost less, I don't have to find people to sell/trade/split with, and most importantly, I don't have to give the club my credit card information. Three big pluses.

The funny thing is, the FSS figures I sold to Eddie so far (Big Boa and Dice) both came from BBTS! They were my "backup" preorders in case mine came all fucked up and couldn't get replaced, so technically he's getting them... 4th hand? :D

I wanted exactly half, but if I'd wanted one or two less, I would've just gone with preorders, too. As much as I hate the Club, direct is still the cheapest for me, wanting at least half. :(

Well it blows me away. These dumb mother fuckers of a club have done nothing to show an ounce of competence and people just keep tossing them money. I mean do what you like but at some point people should let them know how stupid they are. Only way to do so is financially. People do not listen until their pocket is empty. Why did they extend any deadline? Because they are either utter morons or they knew they would hook a few that were on the fence.

Well, buying from BBTS, eBayers, or other board members still puts money in the pockets of the Club, regardless. Plus, it takes even more money from my pockets that way. If I want the figures, they're the only ones to get them from, unfortunately. As much as I hate them, I still want the figures, and they're done well enough for the most part.

Now, if the FSS2.0 turns out to be 12 Icebergs, then that'll be the last time they get any of my money. I'm not proud of it, but it is what it is.

They still have carded Icebergs and bagged ones up on their site, so some people are showing them with their wallets. That shit sold out within minutes with Footloose, Lady Jaye and Dial-Tone, if I'm not mistaken.

Nope. It is one less subscription that was put in their hands. If you buy from someone else you did not buy directly from the club so they did not get that other sub.

Well Iceberg is a complete shit figure. Paying for that is just assinine. Anybody, even myself could make a better figure. If people didn't want a card with 80's explosion then there would be no reason to have it carded. If I was going to get carded I would just look for an original. If you are going to waste money at least get the real deal.

I don't think they would keep such a popular figure a secret. Bombstrike would be a big selling point that they would want to reveal to bring in more subs. There also is no existing tooling to do an anywhere near accurate portrayal.

I don't think so. Design wise Black Out is very close to the original. Demand wise Black Out is never on people's most wanted lists and Bombstrike frequently is.

They should just use the broad-shouldered VvV-style Bombstrike body, with POC-style new hands and 5-point driver legs. Cobble together another ill-fitting mess like Iceblerg.

That card art is still pretty weird, even if it's fairly accurate to the original card's face. Note I didn't say "bad", as it's not bad art... It's just a weird face and the quality doesn't match the rest of the art style.

The problem lies in the fact that the source art was from much later in the line when it took a different design/art direction, so it doesn't really match the earlier ARAH (i.e. 25th style) artwork.

Honestly, on second look, it could be worse. It's not that bad, really. I guess. On a good day. (I still dislike it, but I guess it captures the "crazy" of the character?)

It's not as detailed (or well done in general) as the original. At least I think that's most of the "issue".
