Can anyone ID this GI Joe part?

is it a fuel pod or missile? It's from one of the old accessory sets.

It's a ski-missile (sans ski) from the Snow Cat except it's green instead of being yellow. I can't think of what vehicle used a green version of that missile, but the mold definitely originated as an '85 Snow Cat armament.

EDIT: Just finished reading your post more carefully. Yes, it's a ski missile from the old accessory sets.

I meant the actual missile. GI Joe did use real world weapons for inspiration a few times, I wanted to make sure this wasn't modeled off a fuel tank and repurposed as a snowpedo.
