I demand links and sources!!! I want to know who originally put this info up and where they got it to put on those sites!! Who the hell does news around here, got on it!

I'm just going off "a friend who knows a guy who knows a guy info" here, so I can't speak as to the accuracy of the information but: some of you might want to get topside on this subscription, cover your girs in a big boa, don't even BAT an eyelash for a "nano" second. Not to jinx things, but some of you may do a barrel roll once MC releases the rest of the characters from their iron claws. It may be a sure fire thing, but then again it may be no dice. Don't grunt when they tan your hide.

uh...TNT

If somehow that Data Viper was the 13th figure I would burn DT and send it to them. No lie. You can quote that.

i think it's too soon for data viper to show up. If they do the sub a following year, I could see it happening.

Meh, he'll never happen. It was too cool and had too much stuff. It was a completely new design and people will bitch because it's not neon or from their childhood.

I can see this list appealing to a wide range of people if it's legit. Big IF of course. Figures can always be traded off or sold but I'm curious what the secondary market will do for these. The convention items were hot and still get a good price. I really don't dig how you have to buy the membership and then the sub. There ought to be a bonus for being an Officer.

I'm glad I just want some damn realistic figures. None of this really appeals to myself. I just want some usable camo patterns and realistic looking figures! Sadly, I am hoping the movie line pulls through and the few Renegade figures make it to retail. That's my only hope at this point.

I remember reading an interview somewhere that Hasbro was planning on releasing Data-Viper some time down the road after seeing the community's response after finding out it had been cancelled. Don't ask me where I read that b/c I couldn't tell you if my life depended on it. So, if that's true, I doubt the club will be putting Data-Viper in the sub. Of course, this is all contingent on the reliability of the interview I read.

If the list is legit, I'll be getting the sub and selling the ones I don't want.

Based on the few pics that have shown the actors geared up for the movie, it's safe to say that we'll get some realistic figures in the upcoming movie line.

Hopefully we'll know with the next Q&A. We were told no at SDCC and other places said it might happen.

That's my hope. I saw actual fatigues that would be decent. If they can do it I'll be a happy panda.

When is the next Q&A? Heck, when was the last Q&A?

Yeah, I think realistic military fatigues are definitely going to happen with the movie figs. I just hope they have a lot of good and diverse sculpts.

Yeah, the first two sources I saw with the list was Allspark and then Customs. We inquired to the club if it was legit. The source is about of a sure fire source you can get.

Actually, after thinking about it more, if they make Grunt, and he has a new head sculpt and uses Zap tooling, he'll move up much higher on my list... I never was much into the O13 guys as they're kind of lame, but I especially hated the 25th versions of them that still had repainted heads that were clearly obvious, like Grand Slam, Flash and Grunt.

the list seems pretty logical and doable. I will admit that only half of the names appeal to me. Of course I haven't seen pics of them yet except the 1st two. So I will not judge the figures until I see them. Pricing is a key issue for me.

I'm going to most likely sign up for the sub and sell off half of them.

I also plan to sign up and if this is the list 4 of them I am very excited & happy about, another 4 I am pretty happy about, last four I could care less about and am scratching my head on why they are being added to a club subscription for 20-25 a figure.

well if the list is true well then there are a few i def want but it will all depend on the molds they use for them.

ok so you think the Renegade figures look real lmoa . ya i would like to see some real camo for the movie line unlike that god awful blue un camo. i do still want the 30 anny line as yes i like the classic look ! i also want modern looking ones. you do know that you can like both styles right lol

If you read it deeper X (I know, I'm really fishing here) my comment means I'm glad I like a more realistic looking figure because I personally am over the ARAH stuff. I can go buy O ring figures if I wanted those. I also said "a few" Renegades figures. There area a couple that actually will work great in a normal, non neon world. Law and order and Scarlett are two I'm really looking towards.

Of course people can like both. Thing is, a kid could care less about a figure made 20 years ago. If Hasbro is ever going to get others involved in the line some changes have to be made eventually. That's just logic. You can't expect a line to survive on figures that were made in the 80's. Seems reasonable to me.

they try and make changes...RoC...and those toys are STILL on pegs 2yrs later...them made them black and edgy "just like kids like" and they still didnt want them...

they made ARAH inspired figures and kids didn't want them

they made PoC, a modern realistic GIJOE, and kids still, didn't, want them.

we've had this talk so many times its retarded...KIDS DON'T GIVE TWO SH!TS ABOUT ACTION FIGURES!!!

Hasbro can continue to try and get them into the line if they want to, but IMO, its a waste of time...i mean maybe, eventually, there will be a generation that gets back into action figures...but right now, with the generation that MADE the action figure market being typically 30-40 with lots of disposable income, Hasbro and the likes should just focus on us with these nostolgic lines like Joe, Marvel, MOTU, DC etc etc...

or do what DC is doing and two lines like DCUC and Batman Brave/Bold...one for adult collectors and one line for kids, who could give a sh!t

Sadly, I don't see big H doing two lines for GI Joe though. They just don't have enough faith in the brand. They also are going to have to do some type of show or maybe the movie will gauge a little interest. Something has to work or we can probably expect waves of about 4-6 figures I'm guessing and spread out across months for distribution. That's if stores will even carry them then.

I guess it will come down to the parent too. If they don't push them towards something where they can use their imagination instead of something they can sit in front of brainlessly than not much will really work. There are still kids that do like action figures though. It's a minority these days. Hell, I had a family in the store last night and the parents were looking for a toy store. All we have is a ROSS so I sent them there. The kid actually recognized what GI Joe was. I was astonished.

Putting ARAH type figures out is a good band aid so adults will buy but they can't rely on us forever. We are not getting younger. At some point there has to be some type of marketing to get another generation involved along with parents getting more involved with a push towards toys instead of letting them rot in front of a game.

My biggest complaint and let me know what you guys think but why Barrel Roll he came out in 2003 I mean why is a 8 year old figure getting added to a 25Th carded GI Joe Exclusive. I am a vintage guy from 1982-1994 and started back up in 2007 when the vintage figures were being updated. But from 1997-2006 I don't have anything, mainly becuase it did not interest me.

Not all the figures need to be vintage guys i like that they are doing a Quarrel, Iron Claw, and Nano Batt is pretty cool. But Barrel Roll makes no sense to me. I assume in 2003 when he came out he was popular or something, is that the case?

Of the 12 I am happy with 8 and 4 I could really care less about and I plan to get the set when it is available. Probably will trade/sale the 4 figures I don't care about.

QFT MB the thing is you can say 30yr figs don't sell but they are and did start the whole thing with the new body style and they have improved since then. they sell well alot better then anything else they have tried. i do agree they need to get kids back in to them but with how things are looking that wont be for awhile . so they need to go with what the mass of collectors want !! to stay hell we are the ones who got joe to come back over and over agin.. also we dont want oring figs we want the new style with a touch of old.

Wasn't Barrel Roll (Dwight E. Stall) in the Roc line as a different code name? I definitely do not want the Tan Grunt and Barrel Roll if true.

yes they called him something else in the roc line. ya i dont know why BR got picked when they have a few others they could do. this whole ting depends on the molds for me. as i don't have much faith on the club to use the right molds for this line up.

I'm not saying the old figures don't sell but they will not keep the line alive. Like I said, we are not getting younger. They have to take a serious gamble at some point or just hand things over to the club. People would pay more for a figure but then they would get all the ones they wanted probably. I'm not a fan of the club by any means but they may be the way all the older figures are going to come out. After the 30th anniversary it would most likely be another 5 year wait for something else and that's if they would even bring back an older figure.

Right now they at least got some actual names for the movie so with luck, and I mean lots of luck they will get adults to enjoy it because it has some decent actors and then they will take their kids and hopefully they will dig it. It's kind of a last hurrah to keep retailers interested. The line won't make it through another tank of a movie I don't think. The last one did enough damage.

One tiny thing worth mentioning...I have see a lot of people asking about the mystery 13th. I think some are forgetting another item to take into consideration - the Club membership figure. It would make sense for all of their overseas orders to be fulfilled at the same time for this (most bang for the buck if you will). Slice may be the 13th or may be the membership figure. Then again it could be Footloose too. If it is Slice, it could also be sold carded at the con like Dial Tone.

Makes me wonder if they could be running convention figures right now, but it would be odd for the club to be ahead of the curve that early in the process.

why are so many people thinking that Slice and Dice need to come out at the same time? They were not part of a two pack or anything. In fact Slice has 6 different versions while Dice only came out in 1992 with the interdiction to Ninja Force.

I'm glad we will finally be getting a V2 Dice if this rumor is true.

see, thats the thing...the GIJCC doesnt really have the best track record for kitbashing...and i understand that they are limited on part selection, but reguradless, i'm not paying top dollar for subpar figures...thats the main reason i wouldnt want that club handling ARAH inspired figures...

and i REALLY hope Jinx is a rumor, cause that will be one sh!tty a$$ bash...unless shes some kinda modern update...there truely is nothing in the modern era Joe library mold wise that would pass for a good ARAH Jinx

You do bring up a good point here. I know they said they were going to do some new head sculpts, but I don't remember reading anywhere that they were doing new sculpts as far as torsos and limbs go. If they plan on using existing parts for an ARAH Jinx, It'll be a pass.

Well, to be fair to those of us expecting to get them as a pair, that they were called "Slice and Dice" for a reason, and even though we got Zarana without Zandar, they're pretty much a pair in my book. Not as dynamic duo as Xamot/Tomax, but they were intended as a combo team.

Also, the Hasbro Q&A from a year or 2 ago mentioned upcoming figures to be Slice and Dice. Their iconic parts have shown up in prototypes 2 years ago, and more recently in "Temple Guardian SE" kitbash, so I think people just assume they'd do them together.

Slice as the Con figure would be shittier than making him the 13th figure, but also making Footloose the Con figure would suck, too. I just don't know why they'd do Dice without Slice. Footloose is a no-brainer, it's just a matter of when they'll release him, as they have his parts now. The same with Dice/Slice (if one comes out and the other doesn't, that would kind of suck.)

Sexting partners.

Unlike Eddie, I would actually welcome a Slice and Dice, but they're far, far, far down the list of guys I want made in 25th format. If they never did, I wouldn't be upset, but if we're getting one without the other, then that blows, even if they get made a year apart. I don't see the reason in doing that. And so far, there's no guarantees of a year 2. If year one does well, then maybe, but why risk splitting them up?

I'd rather get neither Slice/Dice in the first year and get them together the second year, or not at all, than have a figure like Footloose be next year's GIJCC exclusive.

you know i'd get them MR, but like you, no lose if they don't get made...i'd prefer many MANY others before them two...
