You're like the ARAH den-mother! ;)

Honestly, even with all the cc shenanigans, I'm actually glad I renewed in december. I don't trust the post office to get anything to anywhere in a timely manner. At this point late in the game, if you really want a Footloose, it's worth the extra ten bucks to send the form by UPS or FedEx.

Karma is a bitch. Today, the second card I had used with FunPub in the last year suddenly has unknown charges. sonofabitch. Clearly I did not knock on wood after I wrote that last night.

Two cards used with the club in the past 12 months, two cards suddenly hit with fraud charges in the span of four week. Seriously. #%&^$

I'm fully expecting mine to get hit. It's not if, but when.

I kept thinking, "Oh maybe it won't happen to the second one..." :f-bomb:

The worst is that it takes them 7-10 days to get you a new card, and then you have to change all the stuff that charges automatically, etc. Such a PITA.

I'm still glad I renewed already because otherwise I'd say to hell with the club and footloose. They're going to have release action-feature "Hand-Job Lady Jaye" to get me to sign up again next year.

With us ARAH fags stuck in the '82, slowly dying with our IV drip of plastic crack.

Embrace the new! Embrace the tactically-sensible! Shy away from vehicles that wouldn't even move themselves, much less a crew and load of munitions!

Come to the liiiight!

That sucks Nacho... Mine hasn't been hit YET

I'd say just watch your account closely. Luckily, it was on my credit card, and not my real bank account. So there's no access to real money. My credit card company will reimburse anything lost, so I'm just watching for it. I've got too many accounts that pay from my credit card, like Nacho said, for me to waste time killing the credit card preemptively.

I try to watch my CC statement online every few days anyways, because I've been hit with crazy charges before, anyways. So it may not come from the Club failure alone.

I don't use my debit card for anything besides ATM withdrawals or the rare instances where some restaurant won't take anything besides debit (which is rare). I put everything on my CC anyways due to the rewards systems. At least I get some of that back for using the damn thing.

Exactly. Rewards are great... BUT that's actually how I found out my card was compromised. I have an amazon themed cc where I earn points, and someone cleaned out my points today. When I checked the cc account online, there were two amazon charges, but my amazon account showed no new orders or no pre-orders being processed. So someone else used my amazon card and my amazon points... on their amazon account. WTF.

I will find them and see to it that reproduction is no loner an option.

One more day... The guys at GIJCC suggested mailing your renewals by March 9th (Friday) to "guarantee" that it gets to them by the cutoff (March 16th).

Don't forget, you can't renew online now because they're geniuses and can't get so much as a Paypal account set up to cover it in the meantime. If you didn't guess, I'm not a huge fan of the Club at this point in time, but unfortunately, they're the only "cheap" option for getting the "Free" Footloose without resorting to scalped prices on eBay after members get theirs.

another thing to put in perspective. the usps let ppl go, so don't chance on your mail being the usual 2 days and it's there. with ppl getting canned, it is sure to slow down the service.

CitiBank just called. Card got hit for $1 charge early this morning, then again this afternoon for some online bicycle purchase for $600. The bank declined both, though, so I'm not out anything, other than 7-10 business days without a fucking credit card.

Ugh.

That sucks dude, although it was inevitable. That seems to be their MO: One little "test charge" to see if the card works, followed by a big one. I really hope somebody actually tracks these asshats down.

damn! the last Bike I bought was when I was 15 and i think it cost me $50 :)

I got mine at the shop rate for where my homies work and paid $850. It would have been $1200 easily and that was just front suspension. Shit ain't cheap no more. Well, unless you get a wal mart bike of course but if I had Rex's card hell no I wouldn't! :proposetoast:

I was a little disappointed! The fuckers could've gone for a much better bike! Not only are they thieves, they're fucking cheap, too!

I really do hope they nail some of these cocksuckers. They probably won't though. I can't imagine the theft being THAT much of an issue or concern.

At this point I almost am over feeling bad for anyone, it's pretty obvious if you used your card with FunPub it's gonna get used fraudulently.

People need to be proactive, if you haven't gotten hit yet, go to your bank and ask to change your #. That way you can do the process on your time, and not have to worry about the fraud issues.
