Here is the latest Hind update .
Full disclosure .
Apprx 4-5 months ago I sent the small parts out to have them made by another guy.
I gave him about $200 or so to pay for the resin and RTV
At the time everything was hunky dory.
Fast forward 2-3 months he did not touch the project...
Me and Daremo cast the cones the way I made them with holes for the rockets .
When we tried to cast the part the rubber fingers would tear out and no more hole left. FAILER
So I tried to make a drilling jig but they holes were not perfect. ANOTHER FAILER
So I had Jay make more cone...
OK looks like I got the hang of smugmug .
Here is plan B for the rocket cones . I am casting these as is and I am making a solid cone to fit inside of it to block the see through.
Pilot and WSO patiently waiting for this project to ship .

Not worried about delays. The fact that you get everything done while being a one-man operation is amazing, Pickelhaube's always delivered and this is a gigantic project.
Yes this is a gigantic project.
To the point of being...
Hey Guys,
Here is an update on the Hind and hopefully the last delay.
I sent Daremo all of the smaller parts including the cargo doors and rocket pod nose cones.
He was having major problems casting them so I had him ship the parts to me .
I received the parts and made my own molds the cargo...
Except when trying to find something .:crying::crying::crying:
Here is the rear rotor skeleton . Just enough to keep the blades from snapping. Probably would not need it if handled correctly . But just in case
I also started doing this for my Huey rotor copies . Those had a tendency to...
I could mark them inside of the rear fuselage it will never bee seen unless you open it up.

A pallet full of rubber molds .

I finally got hold of Daremo and he is back in the sadle .
There is a slight issue with the main fuselage and or turtle deck .
They are off by about 1/18th of an inch in width off.
I am not sure if it is the main fuse of turtle deck.
Doug ( Daremo) will...
I had to remake this piece . In actuality it was a fence to protect the radio gear behind the pilots seat. It was put there on the Static display Hind.
When I made it I was unhappy but figured will is almost out of sight .
Well I remade it and here is the new radio panel.
Here...
You are kind of working in the wrong direction.
3d printing is pricey . So normally you have the prototype made by a 3d printer then you make copies of that at about a 1/3 of the price.
If you need something to scale off of I would suggest you get a model ( the largest scale you can find )...
What happened to the WW2 category?
I am reboot my Sdkfz 222 kit and will be doing the 223 ( finally)
Original price of the kit was $250 the new kit will be $225 plus shipping.
You guys have been great in helping me with the color call outs and I think that I have them all !!
Thanks again.
Yesssss!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Back in the saddle again.
How long will it take me to change over all of this post's pictures ?
It does help but I can not make out the first one .
So the last one I am going to use for the Afgahn livery .
Is every one good with this ?
Guys I really need help with this.
Thanks Digler,
I will look into that .
This is a call out to all of you Russian experts.
I am trying to get my order of paint in for the full builds .
So I need to know the exact paint colors that I will need.
I know Ammo of Mig has the cockpit colors kit and I will be using that.
They...
Hey Guys ,
I think that I may have tackled the one thing I have been worrying about since I have started this project.
The main rotor hub.
I know that the resin that I use would not be strong enough to hold the blades up . So I have been working on a skeleton that would.
I have no skills at...
