Well, it took me nearly five years to add these promised pics of the Jumbo outside, but I figured I should finish this thread, in case anyone goes looking for info about 1:18 Sherman Jumbos. (Post 1 of 2)
Pickelhaube makes the "mine thingy" as well. He can hook you up with most of what you need. Then source the gas cans, gear etc from various 1:18 toy lines, accessories, etc.
If you're talking about my humvee, thank you! You're getting me motivated to finish it. Definitely PM Pickelhaube on here. He'll sort you with the wheel covers. Not too expensive and well worth taking the build to the next level. AND you don't need to be an expert modeler. You will need a tool...
More pics of wheel kit process, plus a shot of whole humvee (still long way to go before finished). I’ve added glass since this pic was taken, plus more weathering.
Here are some progress pics I put in my story on @118af Instagram account... you can see fixed wheels using Pickelhaube kit, fixed antenna(replaced flimsy plastic with brass rod), and glasswork using plastic sheeting from action figure package or something like that.
