2021 Ford Bronco and The Twins

Yes, the Broncos have finally started to hit the dealers and the Minutemen were smart enough to reserve theirs early.

Now I just need to add about 5 years of civil war weathering and outfitting.

Its been close to a decade since I've customized anything and have never done a diecast vehicle, so any tips or "reminders" are welcomed.

The Joytoy figure TieZhi fits nicely without his kit and with holes cut into the floor boards. I'll be giving him a change of clothing, different color hat and paint his shades black. For kit he will get a minimalist chest rig (Gadsden Dynamics style) Then order a 2nd and keep him as is. Believe it or not it also fits in the back seat with how flexible the figure is.

Marauder figures are just a half head to tall.

When weathering a die cast Halo Warthog I found that sandpaper worked much better than dry brushing worn edges.

Vallejo makes a chipping medium that is really handy to make rusty spots and chipped edges and such. Basically, you dry brush a little rust color (and let it dry), paint over it with the chipping medium (and let it dry), then paint over it with your top color (and let it dry). Then you go back with a touch of water to activate it and scratch/scrape/brush select spots where you applied the chipping medium. The top coat will vanish where you apply pressure and lets the rust color show through. Very easy, and you even get a little of that realistic peeling-paint texture too.

So the figures to go with the Bronco will be two of the TieZhe figures, this one I'm customizing to change them up and one I will keep original.

I think I'm going to call them The Twins and keep,it simple.

For this figure In going with the simple chest rig sort of like I mentioned so he can fit nicely in the driver's seat.

Picking up where I left off I'm using hockey tape for fabric items as much as I can.

Shoes will be like OD green Altima's with black toes and soles. Running pantsxwill be black with gray stripes. Sleeves possibly white or OD green, shades blacked out, watch black, hat like a brick red. Scarf will be brown.

That’s nice, I picked up some Bruder Trucks several years ago and found I could get the Marauder figures to fit. I believe their trucks are 1/16 scale.
