Is that helmet based on something real? I don't recall seeing it before.

... and as usual, I have been stopping myself and doing a little google-fu before posting stupid questions.. and viola!

Good job!

New Sculpt era webbing for the base?

I could live with this thing all day long with a proper flight vest. I'd probably change the feet (not a fan of the turned-up SE toes) and lower legs on a couple, just for variety.

This thing also reminds me how mad 5 POA Clutch makes me. Those rolled up sleeve arms would be great for this.

Figure kit potential, right here. I've got a right-seat open on a Kiowa, both seats to fill on an MD 500 and I could probably be easily convinced to replace the right-seater in my MH-6.

Hell, I could probably mod it enough to out fit my 2 Hueys without flight crews.

"Make it happen" s'all I can say

LoL... Thanks guys.

Web gear is from VvV or SpyTroops, can't remember. Leg harness from PoC Jungle? SE.

There are several different parts that could be used to add variety to this guy. A lot of potential.

Looks like it's from the original "Ultimate" SE. V.23, I think.

I had mine out testing fitment on ME figures and have misplaced it, I think that's why I recognized it.

See, folks, New Sculpt aren't completely usless.

Great work, Obi...I have been planning a door gunner/crew chief with that helmet for a long time...

Thanks, guys. I'm surprised no one has pointed out the ammo belt on the 249. It's 1:35th that I picked up from eBay some time ago... and it's flexible rubber. Works great for MG's.

Very sexy!...I really like how sharp your sculpted details came out...if I hadn't seen the WIP pics, I woulda never know that you sculpted at all...did you sculpt the entire helmet or add on to something existing?

And I wondered about the ammo belt, but I just assumed it was from some Bbi fig I was unaware of

BBI Nightstalker helmet base. I removed the NVGs and battery pack on the back, then glued the helmet onto a 25th CC head. Excellent blank face for sculpting the faceplate.

Flexible 1:35th ammo by "Cavalier Model Productions". VERY worth it, if you need it.

BTW... there are several of my helmet/heads I will be getting molded, including this one.

I'll buy the shit out of them if they get casted.

I didn't ask because I didn't notice. I've got a belt of scale 8mm Mauser that pretty much drives any other contenders out of my mind. :D

Maybe... but since every belt config that I've seen on any MG is usually a solid molded block, I thought I'd ask about it.

And I don't care what you have KT, cuz you'll never show anything. :D

I think 1:35 brass photo etch .50 BMG might have some potential for belts used on the figures, ala Rock n Roll.

And I show stuff all the time, have sent the aforementioned belt out for casting (lazy fucks need not apply. LOTS of flash to clean) AND I'm so close to having the mostest bestest Rockblock-based custom machine-gunner evah done and posted.

Put that in you ninja-loving pipe and smoke it! :D

LoL... I won't believe it until I see it, KT!

You know, I put this guy up on a few other sites too. I guess it's too modern, or too complex of parts for people to comprehend. MU repaints get more attention than a "never done before" helo helmet.

Go figure.

It's flight helmet with a MFS on it, it's both awesome and simple.

Maybe if you posted a pc of him on the door gun of a Tomahawk their brains would engage?
Or maybe not.

Though I will say ragingsppon did a flight helmet with an MFS, but it wasn't quite as accurate as yours.

Don't have a Tomahawk. I'd like to add guns to my BH, which will take some time to do, so that's why I went ahead with the pics that I did.

And it looks like "never done before" still stands then.

I'd suggest a pickelhawk kit, but I don't think they're currently in production, and with all the WWII projects he's doing there's no telling when they might be again.
