As Cobra's technology advances, so too do specialty fields among the Viper corps. The Para-Viper, Cobra's HALO jumpers, find themselves replaced and absorbed by the new Jump Troopers, a specialized unit within the urban Shock Trooper division. Instead of the heavy and cumbersome HALO gear, the Jump Troopers have jet packs made of a lightweight, heat-resistant composite that is controlled by a stick the trooper holds in his right hand during the jump.

The high-pressure fuel is limited to about five minutes of constant use, though it provides enough fuel for both slowing and controlling their descent from high-altitude drops, as well as giving them the ability to jump over high obstacles to reach their target.

The back of the flight vest is rigid and the pack connects solidly, supported by the internal structure of the vest on the body, but can be detached easily via the chute release in an emergency, or a switch on the control stick.

I felt this deserved something more than my usual drivel, which now is what you get. :D

I know I should probably paint the pack, but I might just carefully remove the UNSC and logo. Beyond that, it's another of my no-paint customs, so I'm calling it done:

Torso, Arms, Legs - Shock Trooper
Head - Tornado Kick SE + Cobra Air Trooper
Webgear - Cobra Air Trooper
Armpads, Leg Harness - Para-Viper
Jetpack - Halo Accessory Pack/Cable from SRO Starduster/Stick from 3-pack RoadRock's minigun
Gun - One of the SE figures.

C&C, you know the drill!

Think you should have swapped some RoC P-V knees onto there.

I think if I can find one, I might do that. I had the pads/fins already available, and the rest of the PV is in a box somewhere. It would certainly help tie it together more.

KT, FYI.. I just checked. The PV's knee attachment points are too small to work with the ST legs. It would require far more trimming than I am comfortable with.

What's that sayin? Nothing ventured, nothing gained?

If I can make 25th Viper jackboots fit the ST knee you can get the P-V ones on there. ;)

I can cheat and trim the knees and glue the pads to them, but I'd have to trim at least half of the top section of the lower leg to just swap them out. Sad part is it fits in the upper leg just fine.

Gluing the pads on works. It needs them, though. Or loose the P-V arms. I was never a fan of the airfoils on those.
