Count me all-in. I've wanted 6" joes since Hasbro started making non-shitty Marvel Legends about 7 years ago. It's really my preferred scale now. While I do love the classic vehicles, I was more into the characters. Joe was never about giant battles for me, as it seemed silly for a terrorist group to have more/better equipment than half of the "evil" countries of the world. I like it better when everything was small. Small rosters, small groups of terrorists, covert missions.
I didn't mind when they went nuts in the comics, invading springfield or cobra island, but even then, the number of joe troops involved was in the dozens, not hundreds or thousands. And in my head, they only had one or two of each vehicle, not an entire squadron of Conquests or battalion of Wolverines. Specialty group, specialty equipment, specialty missions. In my head, they really were a small group of specialists, not just garishly dressed army folks.
The only decision I have at the moment is what kind of limits I'm going to put on myself.
- Do I get doubles of everything? Probably not, because unlike with the 25th line, I can't pretend my kids will care. They clearly do not. And thank goodness, these don't have any kind of nostalgia packaging.
- Do I troop-build? Probably only a little. I like having 4-6 man teams, so I'll pick up more than one blue-shirt, the same way I have a half dozen 6" storm troopers. It's good to have a few for photography scenes. But I'm not going to buy 30 of them. Big picture, I want my toy collection to streamline, not grow massively.
It really is nice to have a toyline I'm this excited about though. And Joe is overdue for something good.
