I put that in there for fun. If you're a Joe fan and can't find one thing to like from this Toy Fair.... you need help. We didn't see a ton of new product but the overall presentation and news was a big win IMO.

With Hasbro's seemingly anti big vehicle stance I was surprised at the Tomahawk.

Being the ARAH F.A.G. that I am, I voted "Eaglehawk". Simply because a) it seems really well done, and is a welcome surprise since I wasn't sure it would be made and b) as much as I want the majority of the stuff coming out, the Tomahawk was about the only new thing even shown.

I mean seriously, Kwinn is awesome, but he's been shown for what, going on 2 years now? And we've even seen production samples leaked out. I figured he'd eventually show up, the same as the Data-Viper. The DV all but was showing up already, via using his torso for the 3-pack Airborne, and his drone for the "Ultimate" movie Duke. All they'd need to tool up would be his webgear/harness, head, and helmet.

I think JoeCon will show us some new stuff. Probably the FSS2, and hopefully a few more post-wave 4 Retaliation-and-beyond Joes.

I was actually surprised to not see the 2013 SDCC figure, though. With Kwinn coming to retail, I have zero idea what we'll see. Hopefully it's a new ARAH figure like Frostbite or Cross Country so we can get all-new tooling like with Sarge or Zarana, versus half-assed, budget-minded repaints like the JoeCon figures.

I figure we'll get some sort of crossover again. That doesn't excite me as much as the vintage-carded single figure, though. Sarge, Zarana and Jinx have all 3 filled really big gaps in my 25th/ME collection. I completely skipped that stupid ROC Destro set, although I sort of regret it now since the suited one was kind of awesome. The ancestral one, meh.

But by the time of SDCC in July, Retaliation will be a bad memory, if not total failure. Will they really want to pull a movie tie-in, unless it's to try to tie in with the DVD/Blu-Ray release?

Well I have to imagine they need to start producing them sometime soon in order to be ready by SDCC, depending on the numbers needed.. but for HTS.com etc etc. They have to be working on something already.

The bean counters are probably telling HQ that the movie is going to be a runaway success and need to throw everything into movie promotion! Maybe a 2nd theatrical run in July! In 4D! SMELL what the ROCK is COOKIN'!!

But yeah, I dunno. More "25th" goodness would be fine. I'd like to see them do a '82 non-swivel arm remake figure just to piss on the POA people

what i hope hasbro does is bring out the 30anny figs we saw at the joe con as if the tomahawk and classic figs sell well they might do it as most of the movie line ill be passing on but the classics all be buying up

1-5 are all pretty good to me. 6 is counting chickens before they've hatched.

I was certain I had Kwinn dead-to-rights as a Cexclusive. Glad to be wrong on that score. Most of the "Ultimates" are generally solid, but they aren't ultimate by any means. Ultimate Firefly can't even get a matching fucking uniform jacket. Must be getting payed by the Chechens.


I'm kind of worried about wave 3. Way too much awesome to be a case of one-pers. The Tomahawk is cool for the ARAHFags. The Lift Ticket is pretty damn aces, but I dunno... I may get one for the LT, most likely on clearence, and keep the Tomahawk around in case hell freezes over and I decide to display ARAH stuff again.

I agree. I am quite happy at what I saw. Gonna make store runs fun for me again because of the possible payoff. I really want those CC's. I never thought I would want a CC so bad.

Yeah, but he's coming to retail RETAIL!...not in million years did I see that one coming...that's some seriously big/shocking/surprising news...bigger to me than them releasing biggish ARAH vehicles...the Skystriker came last year, so seeing more like it isn't so shocking to me any longer...

But there wasn't a doubt in my mind that Kwinn would be an exclusive...guess Hasbro and the GIJCC smartened up and realized there's more money to be made by making the exclusive figures more popular characters (less obscure)...

All you guys aren't flipping balls over Kwinn, I'm sitting here shitting my pants over that Storm Shadow. I never thought I'd see a quality remake of that version. The 25th attempt soured my hopes, but not anymore!

I know it's a proto, but Storm Shadow looks like he was painted with an eyeliner brush. The glop is astounding. If they clean that up, it'll be a very nice figure.

I'm with Eddie. I never dreamed of a single packed, mass market release of khaki-shorts Kwinn (while Zarana was an SDCC exclusive :eye roll: ). I'm still surprised every time I see the Issue#2 comic pack o-ring arctic version.

I totally get ya on the meh factor. Storm Shadow is made on an unnaturally large scale, and I could go without seeing a lot of the figures they called SS. But I just really appreciate that design. I remember when I was younger (first introduced to the ARAH design) and had the Silent Interlude pack, and I loved that figure! Just like I am with the 3 pack Firefly

me too bro i love the cc SS SE FF and the tomahawk as i love the classic/ toon look so ill get them but this will be the last i need of them thats for sure. i would love to see the rest of the 30anny stuff get put out as that HnR rocked LJ flint the cobra troopers and so on all hit home runs for me
