Okay, as HACKS delivery time approaches, I need some help with the Schleich/Papo Chimaera I'm bashing together, fellas. I've already decided I'm going to redo the shoulder/hips where the Warg legs connect to the DCUC Sodam Yat joints so they're connecting straight instead of the angle you can see in the front-on pic. I was leery of drilling out that much material, but it doesn't work for me.
The big question is the lower abdomen, where I've drilled the Warg belly into a ring that slips over the Yat ab-crunch. I'm wondering whether to leave it off entirely and try to build up the Yat bits with FixIt fur, or to keep it for fear that I won't be able to build the FixIt up enough to look proportionate. I don't want it to end up looking emaciated. If I do keep it, I can't decide to secure it to the lower ribcage or the pubic/lumbar areas.
I can fake up a passable fur pattern, but any help with sculpting out the scales to continue the dragon necktail would be appreciated, as well.
