These are supposed to be in 1:18 scale with the Skeleton's being about 5" and people about 3 3/4"

Ehhh, I think the money will be better spent on the Four Horsemen's 4" Mythic Legends line.

I also don't recall the skeletons being towering monstrosities, with the possible exception of Aracula, so they've fucked up the scale already.

I don't really know anything about the source material but having a range of skeleton sizes isn't that bad. I got a couple of the smaller Goth Time Keepers and they fit in the 1:18 scale range pretty good. Although I do wish these were about an inch shorter.

I'de really like to see what the 2 humans would look like. It's too bad they don't have some of those prototyped up.

I'm confused... did this guy/company buy the rights to use the Skeleton Warriors designs even though he couldn't pay for the figures to get made unless he meets his goal? Or is he just hoping that he doesn't get sued? I tried to get a Kickstarter going for some original Star Wars head sculpts that this German sculptor made, so that I could purchase them for molding/casting and it got denied due to copyright. Now, before anyone states the obvious, yes I realize that Skeleton Warriors and Star Wars are apples and oranges, but still, copyright should be copyright.

It was a cartoon that lasted 13 episodes back in '94. It was kind of interesting when I was 12, but now not so much. I've no use for skeletons of dubious anatomical accuracy, I guess. If you look up Skeleton Warriors you'll see what the humans would look like, these aren't terribly different than the vintage figures.

Someone should shrink the Revoltech Argonaut skeleton.

Looks like they're working with the owner, they mentioned it in the write up and one of the pledges has stuff signed by the creator.

They achieved their funding goal. They did have to add another colorway to get there but they did it. I know these are a little on the tall side but considering the source material it makes sense in this instance. They did say they have plans on adding regular skeletons later on down the line.

Not just skeletons, giant skeletons from a second-rate '90s cartoon.

I have mixed feelings about the October Toys crew. On the one hand they do a lot to help promote toy collecting and they've done some great stuff in the past to get stuff like the OMFG figures produced but at the same time, I can't get over the episode of Toy Break where George - convinced Box O' Zombies had ''stolen'' their designes from them - proceeded to snap one of the figures in half.

The thing is, none of the designs - both from October Toys or BoZ - were really that unique. It's like if I said to you ''let's all come up with 8 zombie figure ideas'' you know we'd all come up with the same dozen or so concepts.

But I am glad to see they got their project funded.

Any links to an article about that figure breaking shenanigans?

It was an episode of their show, Toy Break. (Which is an ironic title, given the discussion)

To give it some context, Shaun, the guy behind Box O' Zombies had sent me some of his figures for Review and I'd covered them. (THAT FIGURES Box O Zombies Review) I also used to share Toy Break's videos on my site so you can imagine how disappointed I was to see a news round-up where they went on a rant about how BoZ had ''stolen'' their designs.

After seeing this I suggested to the BoZ guys that they send a pack or two for the Toy Break crew to review, so they could see they were indeed a different product to the Zombies figures they'd recently produced and, hoping to quell any bad blood, the BoZ team did just that.

Unfortunately the Toy Break guys refused to see this as the work of a fellow indie toy company and instead, it would appear, decided to use the review to destroy a ''competitor's'' product.

They continued to make claims of plagiarism (because they clearly came up with the idea of a one-armed zombie or a crawling zombie, right?), ridiculed the BoZ claim that the figures could be painted (as far as I recall BoZ never claimed this was unique to their product but simply stated the fact, presumably as collectors had asked them this yet the October Toys crew seemed to take this as a slight against THEIR zombie figures) and generally behave in a manner that wasn't exactly impartial. To then demonstrate their inferiority, George took one of the figures and worked its limbs until it snapped, presumably intended to demonstrate how flimsy the figures were (having handled the figures myself, I can only say that I never experienced any breakage with them, but then again, I wasn't attempting to smash them to prove a point.)

This is the episode, I think, but you'll have to wait for it to buffer if you want to jump ahead to the 19 minute mark (unless you want to watch the entire thing.)

Looks like wave 2 will be displayed at SDCC and they have a second run of the Bone Titans as well as some Deluxe Bone Titans. The deluxe will be available at sdcc first and then later on their store.
