Same here buddy...I mean, I kinda do, I've wired some stuff for cars, but to do anything like this, I'm gonna need some seriously detailed pics written for a laymen

Well, Wal-Mart often sells pretty cheap bundles of LED strings around Christmas time.

Assuming they don't blink, you could use those. I *think* they run off of a nine volt or maybe two double A batts.

If you don't want to use all the LED's on the string, simply leave the one's you don't want on the back-side of the box. The box itself sounds super easy.
