Been a little busy working on a few ideas with the gaggle of parts and fodder I have laying around. I came up with the following figures. Please don't mind the sloppy looking paints, I have found that a good camera lens will tell on you and show things your eye didn't catch!
Here is the hand-painted Marine digital camo... on Sgt Stone. I will say this is Sgt Stone as an Marine Combat Instructor. I sculpted the patch and 8-Point cover out of aves apoxie, then added a little Eagle, Globe, and Anchor to the cover. It's far from perfect, but the best I could do. Since ROC had Sgt Stone with an Eagle, Globe, and Anchor tattoo on his arm, I figured it would be fitting to give him a proper cover dammit!
Marine Aviator - The pic doesn't look as good as in person, plus I had to hand paint sprayed primer on the apoxied parts in order to be able to paint them later, it bled over a little and makes some of the sculpts look pretty sloppy. I had to sculpt the wool collar and shoulder epaulets on Hawks torso. I got this body as parts fodder a while ago and it was missing half the collar and one epaulet. Since he is an officer, I added Captains bars on the shoulders. I think I will make this guy my F-35 pilot... or maybe a Helo pilot. I also scuplted new ribbons, aviator wings, and a unit patch (Spade with wings) on the right side. Once fully painted, he will have green digital camo trousers. It's rough looking now, but I hope the final product turns out right.
Desert digital camo figure... not sure who to make this out to be. I am thinking about doing small four man squad in this pattern. This was my first attempt at digital using a "dry-brush" technique.
The last figure that is not assembled is going to be an original figure. I am thinking some where along the lines of a Serbian Sniper, so he will work for Cobra, or who ever pays the bills
