Obi stopped by today to show me some sculpting tricks and to BS and do a dio shoot. Thanks again bro! We used his customs on my dios and did a quick setup. You guys have no idea just how intricate his customs are. The pictures here and his thread pictures give no justice at all to the detail that is present in these customs. Anyhow, here are a few pics from the shoot.

haha, legendary chance. Too funny. Obi lives quite close to me so this is not the first time we hung out and collaborated on things. When I say collaborated, I mean I pick his brain for ideas and styles. lol. Seriously though, Obi is an ordinary guy, not really sure what else to say. Genuine, no bullshit kinda guy just like he posts I guess.

There's a bunch of us within a two hour drive...we need to figure out where to meet up one weekend. Obi mentioned a customs weekend one time when I started that thread for a mid-Atlantic meet up.

And I can't thank Medd enough for letting my custom figs play on his dio. It really is true... pics just don't do things like this any justice. Damn good stuff.

If you ever want to come into the area, I'll provide you with a place to crash bro. Just a FYI, I have 2 dogs and a cat though. Would take me me about 1 1/2 hours to get to Philly, so you can judge your time by adding how long it takes you to get to Philly. I'm still pissed that damn Hurricane kept me from seeing the wax tutorial at SC1. I should have stayed later.

I'm always down for a meet. Slayercon 1 was really fun, anything similar would be fun as well. If we had a large group we would have to go somewhere paid, but if we kept it smaller, 10 or so. I can ask my wife if we could have it at my house. I'm sure if the date isn't filled she would probably be fine with it. The hardest part would be me getting off work on a weekend.

Yeah I'm about 2 hours out of Philly, so that's like 3.5 from my house to yours. Not that it wouldn't be worth the drive, but... that's a tad far. lol.

I was hoping to get to the last S-Con as well but that hurricane messed that all up for me.

Legend has it Obi has a "1:18 or die" tattoo and he melts down any other scale to make them "proper".

That looks lime fun. Reminds me of going over to people's houses back in the day to play with GI Joes.
