Got a few heads from Jesse today (still waiting on my vest, etc), and started working on a standard Spec-Ops soldier design. I'm diggin' it... maybe you will too!

Recipe:

Head - Jesse "Night Fox" cast
Torso - Shock trooper
Arms/hands - Desert Duke/Jungle Ripcord
Legs - Shock trooper
Knees - Resolute SS

Now I'm putting together a desert version, using the "Fox" head. Good stuff, need more.

I thought it was the Night Fox head. I have a few of those coming soon...along with a few of your vest and helmets. Very psyched for them all.

I will probably borrow a bit from this guy...you know...like I normally do.

And again - I wish I had a few of my vests and helmets. :wtf:

Anyway... Dre, you go right ahead. I'm sure you'll come up with something cool.

I see different ball joints in the ankles? Revoltech joints?

Yes, Revoltech joints for ankles and wrists.

Hmmm, Res. SS knees you say? I'm gonna have to keep an eye out for similar ones. I'm not keen on the shaved down ST ones I'm using on my LL custom.

I'm with WB, where do we get the ball months for wrists and ankles...and do they come in multiple colors?...and sizes, what's the best for each particular application?...

Seems like this has been discussed before?

That answers part of it...but then adds a new question...I take it the double ones are not what would be used since most of the singles are back ordered?..or could the doubles be used if the center peg was cut thereby doubling how many joints you have?

And again, what sizes are best?...I think I saw 4, 6, 8, 10...

I -think- 6 would be good for ankles, but probably 4 for wrists. Obi, someone correct me if I'm wrong.

Also, you'd have a tiiiiny peg to use if you used doubles. Which, in your case, Eddie, having a tiny peg would be natural for you. But it would probably be best to have singles.

Great base for Spec-Ops!

From the master himself...

I'm using 4mm for the wrists, and 6mm for the ankles and elbows - on Batman. On Joe stuff, the 4 mm works well for ankles too, depending on the size of the boot/foot/whatever. Shock trooper for instance, can use the 6mm for ankles since the boot is thick enough in diameter. SE has thinner boots, so the 4mm worked better. Like anything, you just have to eyeball the part and see what will work for it.

And of course those are out of stock, back ordered, or discontinued in black. So maybe they're done or producing a new model and getting rid of the old style. 4mm still available in flesh.

I think you can use the double joints to make single joints. Obi mentioned that the middle part could be removed and that the other pieces are the same as a single joint iirc.

Thanks D!

Yes, you can remove the inner piece from the double to create a single. So if you have to get 6mm doubles, you would at least have 6mm singles to joint some Shocktrooper feet.
