To preoccupy the kids from being rowdy, I took some time off making a dio with them. Rather than the usual art-attack that eventually gets thrown away after a week or two, proceeded with building a diorama bed with them. I figured it would be long lasting.
Took a large diorama board, and started postercolor mixed with twigs and debris. We only had toothbrushes to use and painted on the board (which we normally place some acrylic waterbased primer). Built some shading by adding blue to give shades of a darker drab red rather than leaving it flat and consistent, just to give some visual weathering.
The raw result is this:
Even if the structure was crude, it accomplished cool results with my POC Beachhead army builds:
