I have a SDS maskless predator head I am planning on finally putting to some use. I figure I will use a Night Adder upper body. The snag i am running into in my planning process is how am I going to do the rope web mesh he wears. 2 thoughts come to mind. Paint (really dont want to do it this cheap way) or actually glueing sewing string on. I dont have an airbrush to do it with stencils.
Anybody have any other ideas? Thanks

I've seen some people use that plastic mesh that is used to package some vegtables like onions. They cut it into sections and just glued it onto the figure.

If you ask me, I think that using any real material doesn't work, it never looks the right scale.

Since your head sculpt is SDS, you may have seen these pix from their FB page:

You may be able to get in touch with them over there and ask exactly what that mesh is and where they got it from. Email: slayertoys08@gmail.com It's my guess that you could prolly find it at a Fabric Store of some sort - YES, even Walmart could have something like that (you'd be surprised).

I wouldn't recommend gluing string or thread - it'd most likely be way to difficult (read: impossible) to keep it perfectly measured, distanced and angled. A looser fitting form looks perfect, like in the above pix from SDS.

Would love to see any Pred WIPs you might have, or even what raw materials you're working with.

I never even thought of checking SDS Facebook. I'll have to try to give Dave a call later to see what the artist used. thanks.

How you did the netting. Did you just cut out a square of the material, wrap it around and super glue the edges together?
