On the 8th Day God looked down on his planned paradise and decided he needed a Defender, So God Made A Patriot.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dAV8cfmawPk

Over the next few days I will be posting a series of custom figures representing actual soldiers and or the scenario a certain image shows, that I've collected over the course of Our Wars.

This is a tribute to those un-named special soldiers who Lead, land first and most likely leave last if they make it.

Just as these custom are made from many brands so was the inspiration behind each.

Here are the inspirations behind Joe Camel, a figure I've been working for a year or so.

Recipe:

Head - Can't remember
Goggles - Can't remember
Torso - bbi Navy Special Forces Thomas
Arms - Rock (I forget the GI Joe Name)
Hands - Renegade Duke? with hocketape
Legs - unimax Navy SEAL
Ruck Sack - custom made from Hockey Tape
SAW - Joe, Unimax & Marauder
Ammo Can Pouch on Vest - Roadblock maybe?
Ammo Can pouch on leg - custom from Lego Sail (a real removable can inside)

Awesome... having all those different parts and accessories really helps with this stuff. You always put everything together so well, so these are no big surprise to me. :medalofhonor: :proposetoast:

One of those Duck Dynasty (?) figures heads with the beards would look even more awesome on your green beret slay figure...

Haven't seen those yet. I would save for a newer custom with the up coming troopers

Great work on those.. these are the kind of custom that i like. Military style and realistic...
Only one thing... the outback head is tiny in comparision with the others don't you think?

Thanks,

yes it is small but in person it looks just right on this fig as it is a smaller base. I think the full head of hair and beard help fill out his dome. Otherwise it'd be as useful as Wild Bill's head sculpt. Can't really mix many joe and bbi figs together. the scale is a bit different.

I wish they would redo Outback? I don't get it. He is the perfect mold for a specOp looking dude.

The Recipe:
Enhanced Will Thomas (My favorite all time figure)
Arms are POC Duke. The bbi concept was awesome but the quality in the arms was horrendous. Mix paint to match skin tone then added a layer with a touch of red to create a sun burn effect.

Hands - Renegade Duke
Details: enhanced with paint from head to toe.

Clutch:
Same will Thomas Base with paint enhancements.
Neck and Head - Hasbro Clutch
Arms - A combo at the upper cuff line between renegade Duke and Major what's his name so I could get a matching skin tone without paint.

How hard is it to mate the hasbro arms and bbi bodies?

So easy we should all cut a forefinger off for not knowing already.

bbi uses a larger peg, so the large round end to the Joe arm just needs to be knocked down a bit diameter wise. Go slow checking along the way and you'll get a nice snug fit.

The inspiration

The Recipe:

Figure - bbi Danny Lynch
Helmet - Hasbro Ripcord
Weapon - Marauders
Custom Pouches - Lego Sail
Separate matching Back Pack - Unimax Navy SEAL
Custom Paint - Entire figure

This is a very cool figure and in my world his Nickname is Ambush.
Often dropping in alone surprising the enemy.

From here I will add the same additions to the oxygen helmet as I did with the others to make it double as a gas mask because there is gas warfare in my world. The hose is removable.

That is some high speed work rightch thar. Only thing I wonder about is the use of 2 night vision devices.

Thanks KT, In the near future that is a multiple use scope. NV can be turned off. It has heat sensor capabilities too and high power for surveillance. When walking at night on the trail the helmet vision works best. ;-)
