Scarlett by Cloud Strife

I was heavily inspired by other customizers when I made Scarlett. I thought Stronox's idea of combining the Resolute Baroness head sculpt with the Resolute Scarlett hair was brilliant and did that with mine and repainted it. I also drew inspiration from Wry1's artwork of Scarlett. I wish there was a head sculpt based off of Wry1's depiction. I was going to tone down the yellow to be more in line with Wry's art, but I kind of liked the contrast... I also thought lance858a's method of shortening her a little bit was genius and did the same here.

Fled - Maybe one day I'll go back and add irises to all of my figures in a manner similar to what you've done, but for the sake of uniformity right now, and the fact that I'm a little lazy, I'll wait a little while longer...

She looks good. The paint and face look great. Just a personal preference but the hair always looked to big for me. Like it was to thick.

Others have said she favors Sandra Bullock and after reading that, I have to agree, lol.

Fogger - I cut her boots off her lower legs at the seam, shave a sliver off of the top of each boot and then glued them back onto her lower legs. The circumference of her boot is pretty much the same so her leg doesn't overlap her boots at all.

SR_501 - I went with black and yellow b/c I was attempting to use the same palette that Wry1 did with his artwork of Scarlett. The main difference is that the yellow in his artwork is more subdued and I was about to subdue it myself, but the bold yellow grew on me. I might go back and change that though. Still haven't made up my mind.

This is what I was gonna say. Great custom, just that the brightness of the yellow pops too much for me imo. Especially since your other customs are more realistic so to speak.

I like the boldness of the color, it makes her stand out, her color scheme in the past did that as well. But to be honest, i think i would like it toned down too. All the other vast improvements you made I think overshadow any subtle color change you would do. My eyes are drawn to the head immediately. What a great idea that head swap was.

I'm not a fan of the yellow myself, but I'm also not a fan of the original blue, either.

That head combo is killer. I've been meaning to repaint my Resolute face after cutting the head down some, but I may just do this altogether.

What I wanna know is why Scarlett had a blue onesie on to begin with? Couldn't they have made it in olive and tan? It always felt out of left field, like some cheesy 80s exercise video.

I actually thought about painting her green and tan, but then I decided not to for some reason. Probably b/c I was trying to make her look like Wry1's artwork as much as I could. I still haven't decided on whether or not I'm going to tone down the yellow or not... I know the yellow is a bit ridiculous, but I like the contrast. *sigh* I need to get photoshop or something that will allow me to swap colors around and see what something will look like before painting it.
