Name: Reaver (Formerly Richard Dixon)
Age: 33
Height: 6'0
Skills: Hunting, Survival, Marksmanship, Diplomacy, Negotiation, Perseverance
Character Background: Reaver originally started out his career as a foot soldier in the Agurts Infantry, where he proved himself to be not only a ferocious fighter - but a noble intellect. This combination of traits allowed Reaver to quickly rise within the ranks to Sol Commander. Merely 6 years after he first joined the Infantry, he was granted his first Mech to Pilot; A towering slab of Metal - The Stronghold 88th.
Reaver and his battalion wrought havoc on the battlefield, annihilating the tribes of 'Soil Ghosts' who dared to encroach on Arguts territory. For two years they held strong at their fortified outpost on the outer border of Zamaii, until the Generals from Infantry HQ began to order advancements into the Soil Ghost desert. Reaver had protested against the campaign from the start, but his orders were final.
For 3 long moths Reaver led his Crusade into the harsh and barren Desert inhabited by the Soil Ghost tribes. Slowly the already meagre force was whittled down to just a hand full of hardened veterans, led by Sol Commander Reaver.
In the Hanging Canyon of Aramanth they made their last stand - The Stronghold was the first casualty, already low on fuel it was was running at half power and so posed little threat to the seemingly endless hordes of Soil Ghosts who overran it within minutes, severing the vital electrical cables and fluid pipes. Reaver was trapped inside the impenetrable cockpit and watched as his comrades were butchered by the savages. He knew that he was safe in the cockpit - nothing would be able to open the hatch or break the extremely hardened viewing panes.
The Soil Ghosts gave up after a few hours of shooting, clubbing and prising at the hatch. All the while Reaver was locked inside not only the Cockpit, but his own conscience. He had let his men die while he cowered within the stronghold.
Eventually he emerged and set off wondering half mad through the desert, he managed to survive the hard trek to Gafia where he stumbled upon the remnants of a deserted Pre-War town, with a few buildings still intact. This is where he made his home. Reaver became a hermit, patrolling the area around the town daily in search of any unlucky stray Soil Ghosts who would soon meet a painful, vengeance fuelled death.
Occasionally if a trade caravan passes he will barter with goods he has foraged for food, news and trinkets. One day however, a grizzled old soldier named 'Bob' rolled in with a trader convoy, and Reaver's world was never going to be the same again...
