What Are You Expecting From Retaliation?

About nine months ago, we're six weeks away from the release of "G. I. JOE: Retaliation, when it was inexplicably delayed to add 3D effects. Now we're roughly at the same point in time we were last spring, six weeks away from the release of the film.

I'm going to see this movie in the theaters because my New Year's Resolution was to see every movie that caught my interest in the theaters, JOE was one of them. Which this film I'm expecting a closer interpretation of G. I. JOE. While I would a something to closer to a special ops movie, it will probably be a closer to an action adventure flick with military themes. I'm also expecting it to be hella better than RoC, especially in terms of the special effects.

I dunno, I think it looks like it'll be a 'fun' action movie.

I'm not expecting the world, but I imagine it should be better than RoC. The acting crew is better, not sure about the director due to his body of work, but his public statements have all been very positive.

I suppose I'm positively cautious about the whole affair at this point. I'd love it to be GREAT and start a new trilogy or whatever of awesome GI JOE movies, but I also am not letting myself get sucked into the hype.. lest I be disappointed when it's terrible.

I'm just happy for the 'ultimate' wave 3 assortment! (Though not the prices..)

I'm not expecting much. I assume it will be fun but you'll need to leave your brain at the door.

I hope kids love it. I REALLY REALLY hope that. It means they won't have dumb it down anymore than it already is and hopefully stores will give GI Joe the recent TMNT treatment.

I WAS excited for the movie last summer. Right now, I couldn't care less. I just want it to hurry and get released and hopefully it's good enough to spark a decent cartoon and video game.

That's all I'm hoping for too...just better than RoC...and so far it looks like it will be that...before RoC even came out, I knew the first film would be a$$...I didn't need to see the film to know that either...you could just tell by trailers it would be awful...

Don't expect much. It's got Dwayne Johnson, so it's at least ahead of RoC in that respect.

I thought the first one was okay. After all the bitching about it I am expecting this to be a bit better.

I'm going in like it's RoC. If it's good, I'm in for a treat, if it sucks, well, it was expected.

Since they added some serious stars like Johnson, and Willis, there should be some changes. Plus, Channing Taint has started to improve his acting skills a little since he is now 'hottest guy of the year" type shit. He knows he has to step it up.

The biggest thing this movie has is OMFG NINJAS!!!!!!

At this point I'm betting its better than ROC, looking forward to more of a Dad's day off. Will likely be seeing this during the day while the kid (to young for movies) is at school.
