I just wondered what prices people think are reasonable for items. People refer to things as cheap or expensive, but I wonder what people think is a good price for items, in numbers? So, what would you consider reasonable for:

A detailed, scaled assault rifle/machine gun in joe scale that is not available from the big manufacturers?

What is a fair price for a set of pouches etc, per pouch( eg ammo pouch for standard magazine)?

I just want to know as I'm wondering where my times will be on the scale, though I'm making them as cheap as can be done within the context of quality items... Any and all answers would be appreciated!

I think Maurader Inc is charging a pretty fair price for most items. That said that may not be feasible for items cast in resin out of silicone or rubber molds.

If you could keep it below, say 3USD for a larger weapon (shoulder-fired missile or crew-served MG) you'd be doing alright. This is all speculative, however. What it costs you to make/have them made is gonna dictate largely what you charge.

For the scopes/silencers sets the price is looking good on shapeways, but price is very subjective. 8 nspu-1 scopes and 8 PBS-5 in good detail for 15 usd ain't bad, and that's what it's looking at the moment.

For guns, they'll be more of course, but putting them in sets is going to keep per gun price manageable. It doesn't cost much to add smaller things, so the Pkm for example will have 3 spare ammo mags on a sprue with it. I think youd like the detail on it. I can email you a jpeg if it if you want to see one of the models?
