Whip antennas

So I pulled my Huey down to do some needed repairs, and stumbled on something that should make for fair whip antennas:

Synthetic Christmas foliage. Yeah, the stuff commonly found in faux wreaths and trees.

I doubt they'd hold up one of the little plastic bulbs on the end, but they at least work for the tail antenna for my Huey and shoould work for an antenna in the tied-down position. Just thought I'd throw that out there.

And they'd work for the antennas on the underside of the tail boom of a TOW Defender if you wanted to make it accurate.

I used to heat up the sprue that model casts came on and stretch them out to make antennas. Worked great.

Used guitar strings cut to length make great antennas and cabling. Just be careful not to poke your eye out.
