I know, you thought I wrapped this all up yesterday with a nice little bow. Didn’t you? DIDN’T YOU?! Well, you’re wrong. I have some more to say. Some of this might give you a feeling of deja-vu, but we got some more pictures and information last minute, and I figured I’d wrap it all up with some final thoughts today. I don’t apologize for reusing some of my thoughts from Day 4, but then I’ve never been all that apologetic. Here we are at Day 4, Sunday, the last day of SDCC. It hasn’t been the best as far as the news we got from varying lines, and the amount of 1:18th offerings was pretty slim. It was slightly disappointing on that front, though we did get some outstanding news from Merit and The Bridge Direct, which helps quell some of the disappointment. Hasbro didn’t give us what we were hoping for, but we even got some news that was slightly elevating in some respects. Since there wasn’t much extra news to report from yesterday, and today’s likely going to involve packing and traveling for our boys in San Diego, this is going to be more of a total recap roundup on the last 4 days of SDCC, and as usual, my own brand of humor and cynicism. Day 3 is a little brighter. Why? Well, despite the woes of the GI Joe news, there were some excellent finds. Some of the news was pretty vague, but some of that was for legality reasons. Day 1 begins as it has in the past. A hangover from preview night, long lines, and the realization that you are standing there and that you, the SDCC patron, are not a morning person. News was rather slim pickings last night. Even though there was a good bit to see, much of it in the 1:18th scale was of things we’ve already seen. That leaves us hopeful that there may be more revealed as the weekend progresses, and also doubtful that we’ll see anything good, if the much lauded preview night gave us so little to look forward to. That’s right, it’s SDCC 2013, and it’s Preview Night! Well, it will be, once everything opens up and gets under way. That’s not the point! We have the night’s schedule off SDCC’s page, and we’re bringing it to you. This is the current list of events, starting tonight at 6PM.
