The much desired Marvel Universe Professor X has hit retail! Professor X uses the same mold as the 2009 SDCC exclusive James McCullen figure that was available only at the convention in a 2 Pack with another Destro/McCullen figure. Ever since the McCullen figure has been announced, collectors have wanted the figure not only because it’s a great looking figure but for all of the custom possibilities. With the rarity and short supply of the figure not to mention the cost, the McCullen figure hasn’t been customized as much as collectors wanted too. SDCC 2012 Shockwave HISS
Ah, Hasbro. Another year has gone by and you come up with another decent crossover exclusive. Although the tank was not the highlight of the set there was plenty to make this worth it if you got your hands on one. The HISS is a painted up Retaliation tank that has static treads. Those and a glass canopy are two things I’m not a fan of. The design of the new HISS tanks are ok but of course Cobra overlook certain engineering features. Open turret? Is this 1984 still? Let’s protect that gunner already! The attack mode is fairly worthless too. It points at the ground. Great of you want to dig a hole I guess. Jinx: Anatomy of an SDCC Exclusive
Hot on the heels of both Sgt. Slaughter and Zarana, fans found out at Toy Fair earlier this year that the 2012 SDCC G.I. Joe Exclusive would be the red-clad female ninja, Jinx. Just a few days ago, we finally saw the first glimpse of the card art in the form of leaked samples from China. As always, the overseas samples stirred up a cruel hybrid of excitement and gnashing of teeth among the collecting communities as they await the chance to either get her at the Convention for retail price, or pay ridiculous prices on the secondary market to obtain her as non-attendees.
