So, I'm thinking of getting a head start on a revisioned Omega Red custom, and I'm leaning toward a telnyashka shirt.

So, any tips on painting really fine stripes? Am I stuck with 4 hours of agonizing paint work? Should I really consider doing a camouflage BDU shirt instead?

I was thinking of trying pin striping tape, but if I can avoid extraneous costs I'd like to.

boy, those are small stripes to paint too. Being that they go horizontal maybe you could precut some masking tape on the roll, and peel it off and tape off the figure for painting piece by piece. Maybe do the white base coat first, tape, and paint the blue or whatever color. Not an easy task, and either free paint or tape paint is gonna take a long time and be tedious. I too would be interested if anyone has an easier trick.

but you could easily get a brush to do the same thing kt. micheals has great brushes, and i know you aint new to painting, so you know the more you pay for a brush the better the brush is. i personally never did any striping, but i'm sure i could very easily. just think, try and if it dont go well, you keep trying til you're a pro.

Unfortunately Hobby Lobby is my only real option. I plan on being in there later in the week to pick up some more Testors, so I'll see what' the absolute smallest brush they have is.

i wish i had a hobby lobby. i dont have any hobby shops. if i want testors i have to go online. that's why i havent bought paint in years. and alot of my paints dried up because i shook em when i first got em and the seal got messed up.

as for brushes, my two favorite ones are housed, so i need to replace them eventually. all i have is micheals and a ac moore to buy brushes from. but never have the time when the money is in my hand, nor the thought of even swinging there to get brushes when the money's in my hand.

i know of one hobby shop like 30 minutes away, and i'm out that way every weekend, but my time is tied when i'm there, and they close early on sunday, so i have no clue what they actually carry there or what kind of hobby shop tyhey are. they might just specialize in rc planes and cars. who knows, i never had the chance to go there, i went once and it was closed.

i got a OK hobby shot in town, local owned, mostly trains and planes, but they have tamiya paints. Most of the good hobby shops seem to be in maryland. Found a good one when i visited Slayer dave. Someday i am gonna drive back down and buy alot of styrene. someday.
