Can I just say how much I really dig what you guys do here. Specifically the dio shots. Some of those pics are just too real looking, in a good way of course. With the figs, the vehicles, and the set pieces...

I don't know. I just wanted to let you guys know how much I enjoy them.

Thanks for keeping it real.

Unlike that other place we have a section here for dios. Over there they are all over the place. I made albums there but never posted in threads.

I'd like to second Obi. I joined not too long ago and this place feels like home. I've yet to have a shitty run in with anybody and everyone has been pretty awesome about everything! The amount of talent is insane, crazy photos, sweet customs, and the wonderful Eddie's.

Plus, this does not mean any of us are going to screw.... Yet

That's the general theme around here... you normally get invited by an old friend, check it out, find out it's a pretty cool place to be, lurk for a bit, contribute a little bit here and there, you get comfortable in the atmosphere, than you go back to "other places" and reality hits in.

We truly are a place to BS without the BS. No favoritism here, no silly rules or double standards. Just a nice place to call "home".

Also for you new guys:

Check out the older dios, specifically RED's. He hasn't posted anything new lately but his old stuff is SICK!!

I knew no one from HT on here.

In fact, I was looking for a site on foot fetish...and somehow got directed here.

I used to frequent JoeDios and was a fan of Rick's and Falcon C's dioramas. Rick eventually told me about this place, and I'm glad he did.
I still post on JD from time to time, and most of the people there are great, but the atmosphere is just... different.

Just watch out for those pricks with the red names. Bunch of power abusing douches! One of them constantly messes with peoples profiles!

I quit posting on JD a long time ago. After all that fallout went down, I left with a bunch of the older members. And from what I can tell, everything went down the drain. It seems like a step or two away from falling off the Internet. Which I thankfully don't care, the photographer's work that I enjoy to see I have on facebook or see on here (that Rick bastard). And Fled, I'm happy to see your work on here! Plus CtrlZ!

Thanks Obi!

This all started a few years ago because we were hitting over 100 posts a day in the HT bbi thread, constantly on the top of the sidebar and they wouldn't give us a section for real 1:18 vehicles. Turned out to be a blessing.

With lack of any product, I love how this site morphed into a custom and photo board to fill the gap. Some truly amazing talent here. Damn I miss Red's WWII dios.

You guys are more than welcome for the coolness.

FYI about me - I've never been a huge fan of the Joe mythos, even as a kid. I had a few of the original figs and stuff, but I never went all ga-ga over it. Did I like some of the characters? Of course, but that was about it. I knew then that I wanted more from my toys.

So for me, as a 99% customizer over anything else, I have always and always will enjoy more realism than anything else. It also helps that I'm a bit of a military history buff, specifically medieval... but I do loves me some modern. So that's why I started this thread. To give a shout out to like-minded people for creating what I wish I had when I was a kid, and even more today.

Funny...when the 25th line started, I only collected the figures...any that came with vehicles, I would buy loose online somehow...I always told myself that I didn't have room for the vehicles...then I saw all the amazing realistic and "accurately" sized 1:18th vehicles in the Bbi group...suddenly, lack of space became unimportant...I still don't have the room for them all, but having the 1:18th stuff in hand REALLY showed how awful Hasbros vehicles are...
