I'm less than two hours down I-81 from Hershey...I'd be interested in coming over and playing GI Joe...I mean setting up dioramas

Well, for those paying attention, my idea of combining sucked. The tape had too much elasticity and made the posability of the toothpaste strip obsolete. It also kind of forced me to go a little wider than what I wanted. Also, don't get on me for my 2 pt sling accuracy. I was missing tools and just replaced a failed sling from 4 years ago.

I think the two materials, Lego canvas and med tape can be used in constructing a more modern sling.

Anyone thought about mimicking a bungee strap? It would help a lot when posing.

That looks really good! I'm impressed! Paint it black and it's good to go!

As for the bungee strap… meh.. from my experience with the real thing, they kind of suck. The rifle can hit you in the junk if you're not paying attention to where it's hanging.

I never really wanted the bungee strap but I thought it would help allow the figure to get into a proper firing stance if the sling was flexible.

The one thing I am taking from this test is I think that toothpaste tube material will work great for belt rings.

Made with lego canvas and a toothpaste container. The stuff cuts easy and appears to be a little stronger than the buckles I've made with styrene.

Awesome. If anything needs to be designed and manufactured for 1:18th, it's "real" sling/gear attachments. Stuff like this in ABS would be sweet.

I know what I'm going to be doing tonight....slicing Lego canvas for straps.

Good times.
