I've seen people just simply paint these teal monstrosities black and light/medium gray and they've never looked good to me at all.
First of all, the original stinger was black with charcoal canvas. I'm not really tied to the original colorscheme but everyone seems to use a medium to light grey that doesn't look nice with the black and gives it an even more toyish look.

Just off the top of my head, I think it needs some new ATV tires. I know I've seen someone find some nice ones, but I could never find any.

Needs a lot of it's molded details to be removed, filled, or replaced. The lights come to mind right away. Just like the Vamp, it has way too many holes for "stuff". And then there's the small details like tow cables, gas cans, and other gear that's missing.

Luckily this thing doesn't come with one of those gross turrets the Vamp came with. I think eventhough there isn't much space for it, I think a m240 with the proper gun mount, might work.

The antenna needs replacing.

Anything else that comes to mind that might help it?

Yup, new wheels stat!...and I'm not sure how I feel about the rear cover...might look better if the vehicle was all one color...

What color would you make it Gup?...I'm kinda partial to desert schemes myself, though they aren't as much fun to weather since a dust effect doesn't show so well...

I'm still for the simple black. The original stinger was used for the Vamp mk2 as well so if you give it some desert colors, it will look closer to that. I just can't get myself to just paint it black, I have to do lots of alterations because while there are some nice design elements, some of the details are too cartoony.

The back cover is okay. I just don't like how it has no access panels and the ladder is pretty much worthless. If you take out the back cover, the roll cage with have nothing to connect to and rocket launcher connects to a piece that's locked into the back cover.

It would look better minus the launcher and with a gun mount instead. That would be a bit of a pain though. As for colors black would be ok for something like a SWAT vehicle but I'm always partial to a camo scheme. Maybe some RC wheels for it? Not sure if something like that would work out well.

I'm starting to lean towards replacing the launcher with an Avenger style AA gun. Rather than have the stinger drag an asp around, just make the asp a variant of the stinger.

I think I may have found some replacement tires on some cheap looking motocross set that included a pickup. I'll just have check the wheel size.

At the local hobby shop, they had tires that looked like they might work but they were $15 for 2. I was going to check how much a set would cost on Shapeways using the squishy material, but they took that material down and judging by the other materials, it would be damn near $20 per tire anyways.
