Swain was born in Darwin, Australia, but spent his formative years in England. After a brief stint in the Merchant Marines, he chose to pursue a career in journalism. He has won the prestigious "Bevins Prize" and twice been nominated for a Pulitzer. He has shown an uncanny ability to gain access to "closed" zones around the world. He has reported from Iran, Iraq, East Timor and Sri Lanka. In Africa, he has reported on Rwanda, Congo, Zimbabwe, Ethiopia, Eritrea and Sudan as well as Libya.

He has no fear and no hesitation when it comes to getting the "story."

Thanks guys.

His name is a combination of Sydney Schanberg and John Swain. Two journalists best known for their coverage of Cambodia during the rise of the Khmer Rouge. They were played in the movie "The Killing Fields" by Sam Waterston and Julian Sands.
In hindsight I should have made the last name Rockoff, after the actual photojournalist played by John Malkovich in the move. I just liked the alliteration of "Sydney Swain" more.

I honestly have no clue where the camera came from. It has been in my accessories box for years. I assume a Peter Parker action figure but I can't place it. (90s toybiz Parker/Spiderman figures are a good source for near Joe-scale camera though).

The head is a POTJ Imperial Officer (I think officer) figure with the hat from a JvsC Recondo figure.

Think it needs to go to Jesse cor casting?

The camera would be good for dio shots definitely. (I can see a dio photo of a Joe making a Dio).

I was going to try and make one, but I've gotta find a local place to buy green stuff...

I'd like to make one that has some interchangable lenses, which wouldn't be too hard I don't think.

This one is probably molded on to the figure -

Interchangeable lenses would be quite easy I'd imagine.

I'm gonna have to go browse that site.
