Another difference between the barrels is that the original has holes in it to show the clear plastic where the SDCC one is a solid piece with no holes.

Ok, so that center piece you put on is so the barrel stays on? Well the goods news is that it came apart very easy. The bad news is the green stuff you put in it didn't make a bond, so I'll figure something out so when we put them together it holds.

The center piece was so it fit on the tank. That was from the Shockwave barrel it came with. I attached it to the center section so it would be able to go on the tank. The original barrel had no stem to go on the tank. Basically, the way it was set up is how it would have to look to work with the HISS.

Just got this email from someone. Pretty cool.

Hey, man, I just wanted to check in with you on an order I placed while you were having trouble a week or so ago. *I didn't know if you needed everyone to let you know, or you're just working through it. *I'll be honest, I can't remember exactly what all I ordered, but it should have come from paypal addy. *No hurry at all, just wanted to make sure it didn't fall through the cracks.

BTW, I thought the sale you did was pretty standup, and I purposefully did not order during the sale because your prices are better than anyone else's, your items are excellent quality, and when I place my next order, I want you to get full price. *Thanks for doing great work.

I've been working on the barrel for 3 hours. Molding takes forever, I would have to say this is the hardest part about casting stuff.

Yea, that will be the best option. Then it's like the original. I just hated how you could see where the putty was on mine. If it's completely clear it will allow people to use LED's easier if they want so it looks balla'! I cut the stem at a good length so that it was almost the same as the one that came with the SDCC HISS.

First pull. Mold is good just needs a little attention when pouring.

Damn that came out clean! You may want to consider doing the stem in clear if possible too. Then it won't show as much when looking at it. That honestly looks as good as the originals though! You really do some top notch shit TJ!

Cost isn't to bad on that. The Molds were about 40 bucks to make and the resin to make them is not much at all. So I think I can offer them up cheap. How many did you want me to send you?

Just one for me and Eddie. He wanted one. Was it possible to do anything with those other items or was it not worth it? No biggie. Just some things I was hoping to see before my lifetime was over. :D

Jesse, I love that Low Light accessory kit.
With the stuff you already have and what's forthcoming, you could do further accessory sets e.g.for modern Special Forces, PMC Contractor, Gothic Serpent Delta Force, whatever.

Would it ever be a consideration of making a custom figure exclusive to The 118th? Just a thought, I know it would take a few months to make happen but that would be pretty cool.
It could be carded and everything

That would be sick! If you really are interested, let me know. I can help fund the project.

I'm game. We just need to figure out details

I will have to dig up the thread sometime but NSA and I had briefly discussed the idea several months back. The big issues we ran into was:

-Finding somebody willing to complete the project
-What parts to use
-Accessibility to the parts

You have all 3 of those covered LOL

Another major part of the discussion was price. Obviously most collectors are cheap and it's tough to get people to fork over premium prices for figures. Our original idea was to make the figure part of the Officer program. Either by receiving the figure free for signing up or getting the figure at a discounted price, receiving the figure earlier and/or having the option to purchase additional figs. Basically something to support the Officers for supporting the site.

So example(this is purely an example)

Figure for 2013 limited run of 75
Sign up period is May 1st-July5th
$8 for Officer Level(figure ships July 6th)
$16 for Non Officers(Figure ships September 1st)
Officers are allowed to purchase up to 10 additional figs while supplies last at Officer level pricing
Non Officers are allowed to purchase 1 additional figure at full price while supplies last

We would have a new exclusive figure every year

That's the basic premise of our original idea

I'm sure we can figure this thing out. As far as parts go, I happen to know a guy that can cast.

As for the actual figure... Never really got to this stage. What we figured and obviously it's up for debate.. but we assumed it would be just a trooper and not a named character. A couple of ideas that I have:

-Modern US Soldier
-Vietnam US Soldier
-Modern Russian Soldier
-Modern Special Ops US Soldier
-80's Cold War Russian Soldier
-WWII Nazi Soldier
-Modern North Korean Soldier
-Generic POTUS(with variant Black/Caucasian)

I'm down for Mordern SPECOPS

Sounds Great to me!

Once the project gets closer to reality, we should probably send out some feelers to the forum to get some feedback on what kinda figure people would be willing to buy. Maybe start with the Officers?

There will be the core group(12 or so :hobbes:) who will want the figure just cuz it's a great idea and a fun thing to be a part of. Than you prolly have another 15 or so people who will be on the fence and the rest of the folks it will depend on purely the execution of the figure and price.

I've never dealt with Aly but no joke, in the last 3-4 years I've heard/read a good 50+ feedbacks on him and NONE of them have been positive. How is that possible?

Well getting product out is the end game and that's not what gets done. If it's more a hobby it should be stated. If it's income it should get treated as such. Pretty simple.

Hey Ridgeback any way you want me to attach the camelback to the shock vest? Do you want the handle off?
