I'd take the rescue handle off the vest. I'd also just slap the camelbak onto the rear of the vest to make it a compact system.

So cut the straps off the camelback? Thats the way I was thinking of going.

No I just word from a contact that that user isnt a real person but a group of people that are a part of the casting click with SDS, BA Sector 7 , SWG, and a few
Others.

GAY! Sounds about right though. I know BA and SDS use to work together and they try to stomp out the competition. I also know that SWG is buying my stuff and selling them on his site, which is cool with me I wish he would buy more.

Just to throw it out there I should have my own head sculpts and torso and other goodness line very soon. Like with in the next few months.

So there is a group for other casters that work together? How does that actually work? Do they just not sell certain product so it drives business to another person?

From what I understood they all share the profits from each others sales. That is why they have to get 7 dollars a head. They all agree to only sell certain items or some crap like that. I think they refer to themselves magnificent seven or it could be the bumbling eight. I'm not sure.

As long as I stay on track and do what I do I am ok. I can't let those guys get to me. On the barrels I think I am going to do 14.00 plus the 2.00 for shipping

So that LL sniper kit I am working on, I was gonna cast the scope and spotter scope in clear red and paint it black so it look more realistic. It doesn't look like its gonna work. when I paint the scopes it just look all black. Maybe I will try one more thing.

That's interesting how they do that. It's kind of monopolizing the casting community. It looks like it's different people but it still all goes to the same place. Odd. Well it would seem you got it going on TJ so even with their best efforts I don't see them making any noise and if they do it will be like a small dog trying to bite a moving tire.

So the LL kit doesn't look right when painted? What is the issue with it? Just makes everything look black even if the ends are exposed? As for the barrel, that price is very reasonable. The barrel itself can't be found for less than $20 and this is one modified and cast in proper colors. People can always paint up the top if they want. Again, don't sell yourself short. $16+ $2 shipping is almost fair still. People are going to bitch either way since it's not free. ;)

Yeah the scope lens look solid black after being painted. I am going to try one more thing and see how it goes.

Sound like communists to me.

What were you trying to do, get a light piping effect?

Yeah sounds a little crazy to me.

Yeah that's what I was hoping for. I've done it before a larger scale stuff but the scope is to small

I think you're gonna need to leave unpainted spots on the top of the scope.

Yeah. I tried that to just isn't working. So I can just cast it all black and people can paint the lens on if they want or I can cast it in red and paint it black which looks ok.

That's what I'd do. Run a bit in there to get a depression going, then some red paint (if you're so inclined) and then some plastic parts glue/maker for the lens.

Ok so a while back I mentioned the weapon sets I wanted to do. I need to get 6-10 things together to send over to my guy, work is gonna start. So what do we want made?

Also I was thinking about the 118 figure, does anyone else like wry1s designs? I really like them and what if we can get him to make something for us and I'll cast them. Just an idea.

M97 trench gun with bayonet.
M1919A4
PKM
DShK(M)
M2 with flash cone
RPG-29

Someone else can throw some other stuff out there.

I like some of Wry's stuff. It wouldn't be a bad idea for him to do the design as long as a balance is struck between something with character and nameless tactifag wank material was struck.

I love Wry1's designs! That would be sick if he's down for it. With the figure, we want to make sure it's a Fighting118th exclusive, so if we do get Wry1 to work on it, we would need him to agree to not post at any other site or sell off his figure. Jus sayin.

I would say Wry1 or what about cloud? He does some damn nice work. Once the figure is done I can cast it and I'll cast it in the colors we need to keep painting down to a minimum.
I was trying to keep it under wraps till I was done but looks like I will be able to cast and assemble the entire figure. I'll be posting my first complete figure here very soon. I am trying to build a press with a die to stamp out t-bars. So if I can do that LOOK out!

Anyone have ideas on card art?

Cloud is out of the game pretty much. As for card art I would think something that is not an ink waster. I was thinking maybe a camo pattern on it but that may be too much. I think it would depend on the figure really. It would be best to work around that. I'd say give it an environment that is conducive to the figure.

I asked Cloud about it originally a few months back and he said he didn't have the time... However that was with him making every figure. If he only has to make the 1 figure... he might be available!

DIY card art for the win.

The card for the figure might be another good place to display this version of our logo I showed off to MB today.

I also concur with getting Wry1 to do it or maybe collaborate with Cloud if they can manage it.

Just took on a commission to cast a whole figure, apparently Alyosha strikes again dude paid him 200 bucks up from for the job and now he wont return his emails or phone calls. How does this dude stay in business? I haven't heard one good thing about him.

Because Joe collectors are easily susceptible to battered woman syndrome. Look at all the bullshit going on with the Collectors Club. They STILL want to do business with that outfit.
