I'd love to have the space to do that. The thing with these sets, is you can ALWAYS add more detail and switch things up, and the project never really is "finished". Which is a good thing, as it can grow and change for various needs.
What's the significance of KLD? Is that a comic reference I'm missing?
The only thing I dislike is that weird diamond-shaped peg over the garage door. It just looks weird as an architectural element. What else do you have planned?
thanks. The diamond thing is gonna get a name put on it. Not sure what, I copied that design from my local fire department. They have their number carved in theirs. That wall is reversable so on the other side it is much more plain. Like you said, the designs and uses are endless. I have added an extra set of steps between the others to better get my stairs in scale.
I second that. Been scratching my head for a day trying to figure it out.
hah, The building is my initials. If JFK can have his own, why cant I
Med - couple of questions.
1. I'm having a bitch of a time cutting the board so that the edges I cut are completely completely flat and butt up against the other one flush. Any tips?
2. What glue are you using? I've tried gorilla glue (takes a long time) and a hot glue gun...I even used a combo of both so the hot glue holds it together so the gorilla glue can set.
1- A really sharp blade is key, also, only cut about a quarter inch deep at a time and be very conscience of the tilt of your blade. My first cuts were crooked as well but over time i got them straight.
2- Hot melt glue is what i am using at the low setting. The key for me is to cut angled slits in what i am glueing. Hard to explain. right where they join, I cut an angled slit on either side so the glue seeps into it slightly creating a lip for it to grab on either side. This way the lip acts like a tongue and groove as glue hardens to hold it tighter and stronger. Hope that makes sense.
Oh! Oh!
I know this one...but will wait for Medd to chime in...
Your probably one of the few who knows my full name. lol.
