This is something I have been working on for a site member over at OG13. Base and back wall are seperate pieces, as well as the alter and statue thing. I always feel as much modular the better. I need to somehow incorporate a couple of trees yet. Thinking I might make a dirt base that the ruin sits on with a few trees on it. not sure yet. I want this dio to be stand alone, "framed" so to speak, which is why the vines do not go above the rock. Anyhow, thanks for looking.

Hotness!...very very convincing as stone...Only thing I'd recommend is more rubble and overgrowth like grass/weeds/moss from the cracks...

Thanks guys!

Yup totally agree Eddie. i got some scraps being painted right now for me to throw around in spots. Also need to find some more convincing plant growth. I figure i am gonna wait to incorporate more green till I figure out where to add a few trees.

What's the one that looks like a skull with sun rays emanating from around it. Sits above a doorway, I believe... can't remember off hand. Might be from Machu Picchu.

Needs one of these:

Granted, it's Aztec, but it looks good. Too bad there's no Satanico Pandemonium in 1:18.

I'm curious how the alter would look with some dark red/brown stains from dried blood.

That's pretty sweet. Not sure how I missed it last night.

For the vines, could I suggest maybe painting them on? Using some moss/foliage from those little foamy-moss packets you can find at craft stores, put some bits here and there and literally paint the vines on the wall? You could use hot glue or regular glue to draw them on so they were slightly raised, then glue the moss in spots and connect it with green moss weathering? Just a thought. That's how I did it on my jungle ruins.

For example, here's the pre-painted and post-painted vine growth. Granted, it's on the ground, but I think I had it snaking up the walls. Sorry for the crappy WIP pics, they're from my old phone when I made this forever ago.

Although after looking at more ruin pics, the thick twiggy-looking branches are maybe more accurate? I dunno. I think a little extra moss/mold/green may be cool, but it's fine as-is. Killer work.

I really need to get some more dios made...
