Damn you and your photos, pcs. I had to go buy one of these. I probably could have passed if it wasn't diecast, but sweet baby jesus that thing is stout.

Why in the hell can't hasbro make something this nice for joes?! why oh why?!

It makes me want one of these in 1:1 scale...

Because Joe has no no retail stroke and good vehicles cost money.

It's sad that Hasbro, the world's second largest toy maker, can't get joe ramped up enough to excite a retailer, yet jada, maker of nothing but ghetto bling cars, can make such a beautiful beast. It boggles the mind.

I know the joe movie delay was like pissing in the retailers' cheerios, but joe wasn't strong enough before. And it's hard to imagine that they couldn't if they wanted to. The question is, why don't they want to? While halo is a very popular gaming franchise, there is no good reason it should sell better than joe in the toy isle. none. It's like hasbro doesn't have enough faith in their own brand...

It's funny, because this hulking beast clearly has some VAMP influence with the rear-mounted gun, gas cans, roll bar. Sure, those aren't unique to just the vamp, but it's hard to imagine that the HALO designer didn't just say, "what if a vamp had a baby with a baja truck?" Boom, the warthog was born.

Either way, since I don't give two shakes about halo, Clutch is going to be driving this sumbitch like he stole it.

Stout it is. Wish the suspension was better, but that is my only gripe with it. Well worth the money. :)

The more I see how well GI Joes fit in this thing the more I want it. Too bad all the pics of it here display it with those Retaliation Joe hoes. Get some real action figures on that sucker!

PCS, I just looked at your update to he glossy version of this beast. Excellent and daring job!!!

I have the Deluxe Mud Splattered and Flat Green 14-inch version. I love this vehicle. It was also $46 shipped from Amazon. I would really love to see this as a R/C much like the McFarlane customs.

I remember seeing these guys at SDCC last year, was sad to hear they had no further plans for more stuff in this scale.

Fuckers.

I would love an in scale Mongoose 4-wheeler and any airship. Especially a Falcon.

I love this thing. But $46 is a little steep for me at the moment. Might have to try looking again after this summer.

McF has puzzled me as of late. Bad marketing ideas and bad products in general. The Halo Avatars? Im no marketing genius and I coulda told you they are NOT going to move those in high volume. Assasin's Creed? I dont think the game is popular enough to sustain a toy line. Maybe a single wave and low volume but thats it. Micro-Ops, they sold OK at first but fizzled. I don't want a Falcon thats only 4" long, I want the big mofo they showed us 2 yrs ago.

McF stated that they could not get retailers to buy off on the Falcon. Too much shelf space, high expected price point(rumors of $100+), and "low" interest because of Reach being an older game and it wasn't a key player in H4. Low interest my ass. They could have made it semi assembled to keep costs and shelf space down(skystriker kind of assy). They wouldn't have had to include a figure because we got ALL of them from Reach(I think). The ODST drop pod was a supposedly "test" on how a larger vehicle would fair and they are collecting dust on shelves. Hell, I still see Ghosts on the shelves at a local TRU. They should make a limited run of the Falcons, sell them thru the Spawn store or BBTS exclusives or some shit like that. They would make bank and keep fans happy. Or even try a Hornet. They are smaller and would probably fit in the same space a drop pod would if semi assembled. How about a different Hog? Maybe the troop carrier version? Or the Artic? Cause the Hogs sold like crazy round these parts.

I just dont get it.

A c-note pricetag was my first thought when I saw it, and I believed at the time that I would bite even at that price.

But this is McFarlane we're talking about. Aside from Halo and sports he's been "doing it wrong" for years.

Prince of Persia
Guitar Hero figures? Really?
Zodiac line, the first series loaded with mediocre designs. Naturally killed the rest of the set.
The Walking Dead. These started off pretty bad, but they look to be improving. I think the big issues is their incompatibility with anything not McFarlane. Too large for Joes (and let's be honest, they SHOULD have been 1:18, we all know Todd hates the scale. Probably because he sucks at it.), too small for anything else currently available.
Hanna-Barbera cartoon figures. How do you not succeed with that property? A: Either the poperty really is too old, or B: You screwed the pooch, either with the toys themselves or the character selection.

We won't even go into NECA doing all the properties McF said weren't possible.

Very true K Tiger...

McF has been screwing the pooch for years. You'd think with Halo (a success I think) they would invest more into it. Having dates get pushed back constantly and not listening to the folks that buy them is really going to hurt the bottom line.

Now you got me thinking....wonder how hard it would be to take the smaller Jada hornet, scale it up, and 3D Print that bad boy. Even bring it up to 4"/Joe scale would be pretty badass.

And, I was thinking about this the other night....Could you mod a ferret to look like a Mongoose?

One day you'll be able to run it through a 3D scanner from the comfort of your own home.

NSA,
The only place I have ever heard of people getting these was Amazon. Yuo could always try the 'bay too...
