You could always get WST shockwave. Looks about the same size.... of course WST shockwave will likely run you around $20, so if you never wanted to turn him into a tiny robot, this set might be a better deal. IDK.

New pics of TFC Silvebolt...while the plane mode with a HUGE robot on his belly looks like total a$$, the other modes, robot, robot w/kibble, and torso mode look absolutely fanf*@#ingtastic!...now all I need to see is color pictures and I'm sold...preferably black plane on the back and white/grey robot bits on the front...

If you guys don't have her yet, you NEED to pick up the PE Arcee...she's crazy bada$$!!...every little piece of her is self contained in both modes and serve dual purposes including weapons if even just to look like a cool bit of motorcycle...she's 1:18th scale too!...and after going thru the transformation once, it's quite easy to go back and forth even as complex as it is...

I got an email from BBTS... MP-15 will be a Ravage/Rumble set. Heaven forbid they release Frenzy with it at the same time. I'm guessing Ratbat/Frenzy will be the other set? Or maybe Frenzy/Buzzsaw so they don't have to create another mold? Heh. (Did the Ratbat mold exist in prototype pics yet? I can't recall.)

You and me both...especially being from the seasons that IMO sucked balls...but I tried to resist the figure, no matter how cool I thought it was...I finally caved and am glad I did...the intricacy and cleverness of the figure just kills me...SO COOL!

I took some pics of Giant with Hercules today...
I assume that the next set will be Frenzy / Buzzsaw (no way they make another mold for the set). It kills me that they made Rumble the red one. With all the emphasis on being toon accurate in the MP line, it's odd that they wouldn't correct the difference between the show and the G1 toys.
Of course, that'll mean that everyone will buy the next set for certain b/c everyone will want a blue Rumble. If they had Buzzsaw and Red Frenzy in the next set, I'll bet a lot of people would pass, as those are the two least important of the '84 cassettes. Still, red Rumble pisses me off.

So wait, I'm confused...which ones are coming with SW?...are there going to be just sets of cassettes or will you need to buy 3-4 SWs to get the whole cassette collection?
SW comes with Laserbeak. The set put up for pre-order today is MP-15, which is just two cassettes, red Rumble and Ravage. And there is supposed to be another two-cassette release, and I'm assuming that it's blue Frenzy and Buzzsaw, but we don't know anything for sure about that one.
Yeah, I'd rather have a new mold in Ratbat, but I don't see it. If they make Blaster down the road, they could always get a second repaint out of Ravage as "Cheetor" I guess? Is that even a real cassette? Or just a modern repaint favorite?
And Eddie, I still like Hercules better. I need to get that 'toon accurate head, though. Bugs the shit out of me all the extra add-ons are adding to the price...

Even if the alt mode has some extra thickness to it (boo-hoo), the SR-71 engines look soooo good in his bot mode. While slightly different than the G1 look, it absolutely fits. There is no question who it's supposed to be, so even if a few details changed, the overall aesthetic is perfect.

Yes, but a concorde was hella-lame, even in 1985. The SR-71 is a much better fit with the other military-themed aerialbots, and he looks even better in bot mode too, while keeping the same feel. I'm glad they changed him.

I'm possibly the biggest Herc fan, but I think I might agree with you...depending on how the actual proportions and coloring turns out of course
The only "lighter" thing that looks better is the brighter eyes. Not sure why they're so damn dark on the Takara one, but I prefer the Japanese deco. Nothing is worse than that orange 20th Prime repaint that warmed shelves for months in the US.

It's supposed to be based on a character called Broadside...a Wrecker I think...i think hes supposed to go with their warbot line...he looks bada$$ but I have no need for him...

Yeah, he was a triple-changer and a wrecker like Springer and Sandstorm. One would think the next warbot would be sandstorm, or roadbuster, or whirl.
Not-Braodside is pretty cool because his G1 toy was an absolute brick, one of the least articulated figures they ever made. And he was way too small for the alt modes he had. He could turn into an aircraft carrier that was the same size as a car. Alt-fail. At least this figure makes him noticeable larger than the other warbots and CHUGs.
