Anyone ever done it? Got any pointers.

I was thinking of turning my Indy into a MacGuyver-style adventurer and that's not gonna fly with that t-crotch horseshit. I assume I could just essentially cut and paste it, but I was thinking it would secure a little better AND retain waist articulation if I did a combo hollowing of the IJ torso with cutting/shaving down part of the Joe lower, but retaining the torso bar.

Is there an easier/better way that just hasn't occured to me?

Many times.....

It's really just a cut- level- and glue. Use the swivel from the Indy figure so the torso turns.

Chop the "pecker" section off just below the belt, then flip it upside down and glue?

Depends on which belt you want...I've done this many times with Joes for the sole purpose of not having to paint match...

Another thing I've done was use some small styrene pegs to make the connection more secure...

I was gonna use a spare ST lower torso, but if I'm using the Indy belt I may go with the Ren. Duke.

Hmm, time to go find a cutting tool and the pipe cement!

I still don't know why Hasbro elected to go with a mid torso joint. It makes all the figure look like they have deformed bodies. The Indy upper bodies look so much better with the Joe lowers.

I'll take the poseability of the ME Joes over the aesthetically pleasing brick torso.

Aren't those the same lower legs from the DG Shippy?

Shipwreck has legs from Law & Order and Renegades Duke. Similar but not the same, I don't think.

I hate the IJ figures. Awful paint apps, and those shitty t-crotches. Some of the figures don't even have legs that bend! Which is a shame really, because the sculpting isn't half-bad on them. I only got a select handful for fun, and I still don't have a "default" Indy that I'm happy with. I have him, his pops, and a Mutt Williams or 4 for the damned motorcycles.

I would've bought the hell out of that series if they'd had better hips and double-knees. The torso, I couldn't give a shit about where the pivot is so long as the waist bends. What I hate are those weird stomach-joints that some Marvel Legends and the BNB wrestling figures have.

The MIB3 figures have that same dumb upside down stomach u-joint too.
