But Eddie, that's inherently the issue. The rest of the country doesn't have a protection racket, so the good employees stay and the idiots and assholes are removed with no fuss. It's far more efficient.
And while I think most people agree the idea of unions is good, and they certainly were when they were formed and there were no worker rights or protection laws to speakof. But in today's society, unions are seen as not standing up for the little guy but rather unfairly demanding far more than they deserve in a free market.
The idea of protecting the status and jobs of people who are lazy and worthless in addition to the good employees... that just feels like socialism. Everyone gets treated the same no matter how worthless they are. Fair or not, it undermines the notion that hard work pays off, and slackers don't succeed, and that really troubles lots of people.
Don't take my arguments the wrong way. I respect your opinion and I'm not arguing to convince anyone or get you to stop talking. Quite the opposite. I want to hear the other perspective, as we don't have many union people here. I don't think I'll ever agree with a pro-union mentality, but I hope to understand or gain a little perspective.

Don't go 'round acting like our threads actually stay on-topic...
Here, let me try. Club Sub figures were delayed in Dec at the port in LA... because of one of those damned unions!
There, happy?

Bumblef#$%s!
And Eddie wonders why I'm paying an extra $4 per figure to get the ones I want from BBTS...
Worst case, at least it wasn't the GOOD figures and you still have a backup at BBTScalpers
Were it me, I'd go down to the PO with the confirmation number and demand a supervisor.
What really sucks is the hassle YOU have to go through for OTHER peoples incompetence
Sucks, man. If I was getting Dice out of the deal with MW, I'd give him to you.
What is the cheapest shipping method? Because I'm going to be pissed if mine arrive while I'm out of town for two weeks for the holidays and they're just left sitting at my doorstep. If it was USPS, then I'll just put a hold on my mail as always and things will be here when I get home.
I'm so irritated at them shipping during Christmas. A lot of folks are out of town during this time. If they couldn't guarantee it by early December, they should've waited. God knows the delivery services fuck up during regular schedules, let alone during the holiday rush.
Yeah, but they should've waited after that 49th fuckup, whether it was their fault or not. I'd rather get 4 in January than have 2 lost in December.
Just logged into my account and it looks like I went with Priority Mail (I likely went with whatever was the absolute cheapest since their service was so ridiculously expensive) so I guess it'll be here when I get home, so long as the USPS holds my mail proper and doesn't screw that up somehow.
