Seems cool.. waiting to see pics though, and actual availability.

No faith in Hasbro anymore to actually DELIVER what they show.

No kidding.

I'm just going to throw this out there, I will pay full price for that like I did the Sky Striker, but I can already see the Marshall's sticker on the side of the box that says "$25 compared to $40"!

Whats with the giant things they come with though? lol

Don't quote me on this, but I read something that said they'd be "premium" or some other synonym designation, as a figure with a lot of gear plus some big vehicle? It may be like the Night Landing with the Eel or something.

I could be completely wrong but that'd make sense. I forget the term they used, but it was like "Deluxe" or something.

Ugh. I don't collect LEGO's but it seems like they're almost getting TOO diverse. When I walk through the sections it seems like any given 'specialty' brand is only there for a month or two.

Not that they're any better with their own sub-brands. Who even knows what the LEGO flavor of the month is.. Chimchi or some bullshit?

I don't collect LEGOs either. I loved them as a kid though, but goddamn are they expensive now. And it's like collectors have ruined them as far as driving up the prices and availability. I'd love to have my kids play with LEGOs one day, but at $100 per set for blocks you still have to put together? That just saddens me. They can't be that pricy to fucking make.

I'll definitely be getting SS and CC. I'll have to get 2 CC's so that I can display him with each sculpt.

Yeah, it's ridiculous. I really liked some of the Lord of the Rings one and Pirates stuff.. but fuck. I'm not donating a kidney to buy a few sets.

They must be making money hand over fist with those prices. I wonder what the store markup is?

Tomahawk is a fail. I just hope there isn't a kickass Lift Ticket.

Just to reiterate. There are better choppers out there for a fraction of the price.

Aren't those simply the arms from the Renegades-styled Amazon figure? I didn't get that because I didn't care for it, but the arms look a tad angular.

I snapshotted it and took a second look. They aren't swivels but they aren't the the Renegades arms either. They actually look closer to movie Thor upper arms

I hope the movie does well. There were a lot of "vault" figures they showed last year that I'd love to see the light of day.

Kwinn, SS and CC are nice surprises, to say the least.

Definitely new arms (at least for Gijoe) on SS.

The Tomahawk? I don't think I'm feeling it. If it's just the old one reiterated then it will be grossly under scaled even when compared to modern Joe stuff.

What's worse about Legos is not just their price. You are buying a very specific set of Legos that are only meant to be built into one single thing these days. Fuck those instruction booklets. Back when I was a kid and playing with legos, the little booklet would show you alternate sets you could build out of the same sets, and inspire you to make your own shit, to ix sets and combine them. Now your just expected to make what ever is on the front of the box and be content with it. So much for creativity.

I'll likely just get my kid (when I have kids... getting ahead of myself) the multi-block starter buckets and not bother with the weird sets that have 50% unique pieces that you can only use with those specific sets. Personally, as a kid, I didn't like those sets anyways. They were cool, but once you assembled them, you were sort of stuck with them, because they couldn't really be reused to make many other things.

Granted, there were some REALLY cool pieces, but they just weren't that versatile. I think if you buy a kid 2-3 of the bigger buckets that have a lot of the basic pieces, and then a few sets with some more unique parts, that's all they'll need to be able to make whatever they want.

Assuming your kids know how to use their imagination.. Video games tend to sap that away!

I only had a Game Boy as a kid with maybe 10 games, and I only own a Wii now. I am not one bit interested in video games, and I don't plan to indulge that upon them, either. ;)
