Man, that stuff looks real nice, specially those flat dark pieces in the first batch...they look like factory pieces...

Great to see that backpack got cast...it's a really nice one...

I was thinking the same thing about those tomahawk rotor blades I sent him. Folks looking to buy replacement blades will just buy a new bird instead. Especially how they made the blades fold up already makes me want two to replace the ARAH ones I have.

I imagine in the very best case you may be able to get the new rotor heads on the vintage shafts. Perhaps an entire system swap may be possible.

This is an interesting take on the Tomahawk:

The new blades won't fit on the vintage tomahawk.

Yeah I'm just saying if someone is going to buy $30 or $40 worth of replacement blades they would just sat screw it and buy the whole new T-hawk and ditch the ARAH one and not fix it up.

Wouldn't that suck people out of the helo?

No the rotor disk will suck air from above and direct it downward...it may blow the door gunner out the side though....still looks cool. I wanted to make a replica of the Samson from that avatar movie. Finding the time is the problem. Also the disk assemblies from the scorpion are too small to be anywhere realistic on the fuselage I was considering.

The canopy I sent in might still be useful. I bet that tomahawk release will be 50$ here in canada

Fans that size wouldn't begin to lift that thing with a full payload.

Par for the course in G.I. Joeland.

I think you would almost have to scratchbuild a wing that connects to larger rotors further out from the fuselage.

Or set up four rotors closer to the corners.

So it will push people out.

Actually you may be right with the sucking people out Giga. The downward airflow would likely be so intense that it would create a ventury effect inside the helicopter thus sucking everything out of the relatively higher pressure zone.

And then of course there's the weapons pods and mounts right under the fans which would reduce lift significantly and create huge turbulence. Either way being the door gunner on that ship isn't going to be fun

Should be done in next few days with all the other stuff. The blades are a bit tricky cause of that thin cross section where they connect to the hub.
They will break if I just use resin. Trying to get some milled fiberglass casts done and see if that works.

And it needs a canopy! There's one customer for the reproduction canopy right there Jesse!

I love that he essentially blackballed Jesse's threads from now on.

That TTT mod is a real piece of shit. There's nobody at that site I'd rather see gone, and he's a mod, too. He's the reason I all but quit posting on the site. Talk about a bad apple giving a site a bad name. He's the last person who should be a moderator on any site due to his personality/actions. Not that I love the rest of the staff or their actions, but he takes the cake as far as the type of person you DON'T want representing your site.

I am not the type to do "ban-able" things on nerd sites. Just not worth my time. I had to message the Admins about "harassment" multiple times due to that fucker. He blocked my IP (essentially banning me for no reason), deleted at least one of my customs threads (that I caught, there could be more) and got into a PM-fight with me over some silliness in me defending another member, too, and then put me on his "ignore" list. The point of being a mod is to not "ignore" people, moron.

I'm wondering if he didn't explain himself because the normal one is still going. TTT's gripe is people complaining about specific orders and derailling the threads instead of using the feedback thread. It's something that started with the SDS issues.

I just don't understand the need for policing the thread and closing it every other week. Let the fuckers discuss things. TJ is behind, he's not hiding it. Some people are understanding and some are getting emo over it. Let it be said and known. You cause more confusion and issues by over policing the issue.

It's the Stank. Nothing gets discussed. The guy's English is attacked, other casters are thrown in the conversation. Sure, the guy kind of flamed out but that's par for the course over there. What he doesn't know is that the USPS has completely overhauled their tracking system and it's buggier than hell right now. I sent 3 packages for work and the numbers they gave me didn't work. I also have received a couple packages the last couple of weeks whose #s didn't work.

I hear ya. The mods just make things worse 95% of the time. Just let the inmates make fools of themselves and everything will work out IMO

Post office is terrible.....currently waiting for a call back cause three packages haven't shown up and it's been just over a week I think. I called one of my old co workers who's a post master now, hopefully he can give me some insight on what's going on. No gonna hold my breath.
