Dollar General figures showing up

I found a Wave2 Storm Shadow today at a Marshall's in NH. He was the only one left, but they restock on Friday, so I'll be beating the other nerds to get there!
I went to my local Marshall's today and found an entire of wave of Fuck-All.
You know, despite the fact that we don't even have DGs out here, I think I'd have better luck finding them if they never went to Marshall's, which we do have.

I stopped at mine. They had a full set of wave one. Got the Cobra trooper of course.
All of my Meijers have 4 pegs up for Joes at $5.22 apiece. I'm starting to wonder if they are carrying the DG Jose at a later date. They did sell those basic singles of the ARAH styled figs alongside the 25th figs.
My overseas Wave 2 figs came in today. The Shipwreck is kinda shiny in the pants (giggety) and the top is brighter than I expected. Would make a decent base for a green shirt...but I have other plans.
Too much green?
I would paint, or at least wash, the webbing in a darker green. It's just a bit too close to the sweater in shade.
Oh, and hit that butt pirate with some Dulcote.
I want that damn webbing in fucking triplicate.
Maybe a brush on clear flat acrylic. I thought we had a thread on how dullcoat on unpainted soft plastic kind of makes it sticky.
He's a tad matchy-matchy with that green vest on top of the green sweater. Damn, do I want that figure, though. You've got to paint the belt, and those thigh straps, though. I had to do that with my blue/grey Shipwrecks.
I have big plans for him...and any other I find in the future...

The dullcoat is fine on all the Joe plastics I've found so far...enamel on the other hand is horrible to use on most Joe parts...

I don't understand that CC demand either. I thought I heard the variants are still "wave 1" and they are randomly mixed into cases.
For people who don't have local DGs, I guess. That's the only thing I can figure.
None are shelf warming here. The occasional Shipwreck hangs out for a bit, but the trooper and CC are the 2 that are almost always gone first. I have seen more Stormshadows than CC. Go figure.
I got the email today, and prices are a lot more reasonable.

Yeah, they carry a bunch of holiday stuff and a lot of the same merchandise as Bed Bath & Beyond (owned by the same company).
In my AO, I have seen Wave 1 of these at Dollar General Stores to this day.

The DG Shipwreck's legs look weird to me, not bad for $3.99 though I guess.
